Good morning. I have been sewing lately! Cute PJs, which are a set of shorts and V-neck top for the 5 year old GD. Also a cute 4th of July dress with matching shorts and a hairbow for her. Another dress just finished. I need to review the 2 dresses and PJs, still.

Made this for the older sister: https://sewing.patternreview.com/review/pattern/182808

I am working on a 2nd version, as she has a couple trips yet this summer for “events”.

I have been forced to go through some of my supplies and fabric stash (looking to save a trip here and there to get a zipper or whatever), and have discovered a few pieces in the fabric stash that I didn’t remember, and have a loose plan for at least a few more garments for school clothes for the girls.

Love the picture! When my kids were little, I had a toolbox with a combination lock with all my stuff, sewing scissors, scotch tape, glue, a pen, tape measure, stapler, screwdriver, etc. That helped alot.

It's been over two years since I was in a sewing or craft store, but I assume they still have those 'Christmas in July' sales for people to get started on holiday projects. I've been wanting for several years to try these 'quilted' fabric ornaments:

A good comparison of yarn winders.

12 Of The Best Yarn Winders for Crochet (2022 Options)
https://crochetkim.com/best-yarn-winder/

My niece was moving & gave me her yarn winder for safe keeping so I got to use it for about a year. I loved having a yarn winder - gave me the opportunity to look for knots in yarn when I bought new skeins. Knots in crochet can be more easily hidden than knots in knitting (IMO). Anyway, the only issue I had was she had no table clamp. I tried duct taping to a kitchen counter, but it wouldn’t hold up & kept coming loose. I finally figured out a way to do it while holding the winder - bit of a pain, but it worked.

Her yarn winder was a Knit Picks ... she does not remember having a table clamp ... I think she just lost it so long ago that she doesn’t remember it .... the description says it comes with a table clamp.
