Brooks: The Economy Will Be the ‘Dominant Issue’ in Midterms, Not Abortion
Breitbart ^ | July 2, 2022 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 07/05/2022 2:26:41 AM PDT by Morgana

On Friday’s broadcast of “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks argued that the 2022 midterm elections are ultimately going to be about the state of the economy and not abortion.

Brooks stated that the lasting electoral impact of the court’s ruling and the subsequent debate on abortion will be “Limited. I mean, it’ll mobilize some voters clearly in some places.”

He added, “My feel is, the election’s going to be about inflation, about the economy. 83% of the country thinks the economy’s in bad shape. That’s an unprecedented number. And so, that’s just, I think, going to be the dominant issue. And prices may go up and July 4 weekend and all that kind of stuff.”

If you want to distract the woke community just run another Depp style trial and they will be hooked for another 4 to 8 weeks.

That’s why the Jan6 Clown Show will make criminal referrals to the Justice Department to indict Trump.

“My feel is...”

Never heard someone say this.

I’ve heard: “My sense of the situation is this:”

Or: “I think he has a good feel for the situation..”

“My feel”...uhhh, kind of sounds a little too “on the nose”.

Plus, in the age of handsy Brandon, who wants to talk about their own personal “feel”?

Other than felllow Brandons?

You can keep your feel to yourself, Mr. Brooks.

That’s why the Jan6 Clown Show will make criminal referrals to the Justice Department to indict Trump.

If anything, that will solidify Trump's base. Even those precious 'independent' voters can see what a clown show Jan6 is.

The purpose of indicting Trump is to prevent him from running in 2024. They are truly terrified of Trump and his voters.

The MAGA base must be vigilant in November and get a ground game organized against the cheating like what was done in 2021 with the red wave in VA. Be a poll watcher. Have a list of MAGA election lawyers to call in if anything looks suspicious. Don't leave the building if you are told there is a pipe leak like what happened in GA. Have a list of conservative judges to contact if they don't allow observers to monitor the count like they did in PA and WI. Election fraud must be stopped in real-time. If we learned anything from 2020, it is that once fraudulent votes are counted for a Democrat, it is impossible to later get them thrown out in court. In VA in 2021, they caught one county trying to count ballots more than once. We flipped VA in 2021. After 2020, we must treat every election as if they will try to steal it in an in-your-face manner.

The only people who are obsessed with the Roe overturn are suburban Karens. As it dawns on people that all SCOTUS did was return the issue to the states, it will be even less important to most people. The economy however touches everybody.

The weird thing is most protests are in New York City, Washington DC and California where abortion won’t be reduced at all. I find that a mystery as to why they seem so upset. I can’t imagine they really care about Mississippi not having abortion services.

Leftist DEMs just trying to lessen the Nov Midterm impact with the constant focus on abortion which will bring out more possible Leftist DEM voters than abortion not being an issue...I mean gee, like the Leftist DEMs have anything else to run on, right?

Diaperboy’s poll numbers dropped another point. The one I saw had him at 31% with 18% approval from independents.

I think Dr. Oz might possibly slide by, but I think Mastriano is toast, based in large part on his no exceptions for even the life of the mother.

Oz has underwhelmed, but Mastriano has probably done himself in, and on an issue that will probably come down to a constitutional amendment that he won’t have any power over anyway (since that goes to the voters).

I think what we will get out of the abortion issue is going to be a LOT more legal and illegal immigration. So folks, if you don’t already know Spanish, you might want to learn.

Civiqs has Joey at 58 disapprove/ 30 approve with only Vermont by 4 points and Hawaii by 2 points showing him above water.

He is at 56/23 and 37/47 with Blacks and Hispanics respectively.

But the real bomb is 63/19 with independents. WoW!!
