Ah, yes, but the Phobosians have other plans.
To: Ronaldus Magnus III
One scientist suggested that the moons were made by intelligent Martians to escape when their seas dried up and their atmosphere changed. They are hollow and the Martians live in them. Over the centuries they have been bombarded by meteorites. That destruction of the Phobos probe is seen as proof they do not wish to be discovered by Hu-mons.

We can't wait. We must save Phobos to prevent climate damage!
I propose that NASA endow a multi-billion dollar research fund to figure out how to save Phobos. I am available to administer the research fund.

In perhaps 50 million years, Phobos is expected to disintegrate into a ring of debris. GD stupid people at NASA... If theyre not making fake pictures, they are sensationalizing maybes 50 million years out. I dont know why it still let these fkn APOD threads chap my ass instead of totally writing them off. smmfh...

I did the math calculations a long long time ago but I figured that on Phobos the Martian planet will take up half the sky from horizon to horizon. That may be a little scary for an astronaut standing on Phobos.

50 million years?
I’m going to set my DVR right now to catch the epic moment! ;-)

👍 all that cgi in the NASA Photo Gallery and livecasts from the dune buggy scurrying about the Mars terrain, and still not one single shot of the Big Blue Marble/Pear hurling through the Void 🤣
