Hence its use as the setting for the original DOOM series on MS-DOS. I loved those games... Bethesda’s remake moved the labs to the surface of Mars. I don’t think the moons were mentioned.

Why would it disintegrate rather than crash into Mars? The atmosphere is too thin to break it up or burn it
