Previously, Bezos has criticized the Biden administration over its inflation claims
After President Joe Biden called on companies running gas stations to lower the price of gas, Jeff Bezos accused the U.S. president of misleading the public or said he lacked a "basic" understanding of the forces that actually drive prices.
"Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this," Bezos said in a tweet Saturday evening.
In the initial tweet, Biden made a direct appeal to gas stations and encouraged them to simply charge less for gasoline.
The president urged compliance, without any hesitation.
"And do it now," he ordered.

Bezos like other smart business types probably has a donations manager to sprinkle just enough to be visible and conceal any motivation.
IMO he would like to run for office and there is only one that he has any interest in.
IIRC Eisenhower advised his men to vote but not declare a party.

While searching for the price of cotton a hundred years ago, I found on the internet a United States Department of Agriculture technical bulletin, dated January 1928. Assigning 1913 as base year 1.00 it has a graph that shows, “In 1926 only two-thirds as much could be bought for a dollar as in 1913.” It was down to about fifty percent in 1920.
Meanwhile, Bezos’ publishing rag (the Washington Post) keeps peddling Biden’s nonsense as if it made sense.
