Zamfara State in northern Nigeria is suffering from a long-term conflict between mostly Muslim Fulani nomadic herders and mostly Christian Hausa farmers. Zamfara has a population of about ten million, of which about 20% are Fulani and other tribal herders.
Disputes between herders and farmers have been accelerated by increasing populations, the ability of herders to breed and treat cattle for “tsetse fly” related diseases, and poor and disputed land titles.
While numbers are difficult to validate, hundreds, possibly thousands, have been killed and hundreds of thousands have been displaced from their lands and homes. Armed camps in forested areas, kidnapping, and murder are on the rise.
In response, the Zamfara State Government has reacted by allowing more gun permits to defend against “bandits”, which is the preferred term for the mostly Muslim Fulani herdsmen, who have used smuggled guns and motorcycles to facilitate their raids. This has led to retaliation and a lack of security throughout much of Zamfara and other provinces. The Nigerian government is seen by many as favoring Muslims over Christians.
Some view the Obama administration as favoring a Muslim government in Nigeria over a Christian or mixed government.

Shouldn’t their diversity make them stronger? That’s what the ‘tards tell me.
Well, are they operating on a bounty system? An incented few can make a big difference.
As to the numbers, the imbalance is misleading. A few in the right place can act as a terrific deterrent. Look at the Democrat-authorized gang shootings in Chicago. If just a few neighbors were armed and potted a few of the thugs, they’d move their mayhem to rich, white neighborhoods — and the murders would end in a week.
Shoot Motorcyclists on Sight’I'm for that.
But only the loud obnoxious a$$holes pretending their POS is ear piercing noisy for their safety.
And don't get me started on leaf blowers and their Neanderthal owners.

I’ve seen that cover many times, but this is the first time I noticed the American flag in the fireplace.
Yep. I once had a discussion with a casual acquaintance/co-worker who would show up for work and company events on a Harley with ear-shattering pipes.
He insisted I didn't know how bad car drivers were and if it weren't for this jackhammer exhaust people wouldn't know he was even there.
I asked him, if that was such a safety issue, why it seemed the bikers with the loudest bikes, presumably the ones most concerned about safety, didn't wear brighter clothes, and generally wore faded black denim, the same color as they asphalt roads they were riding on.
He skulked away without answering.
I will admit that I cannot stand Harley riders or their vast hypocrisies.
Also, in the line of safety, the no helmet or half-face helmet routine (IMO so named because that’s what will be left if you crash rofl).
Still, generally better than the liter bike guys with 2.5s 0-60 machines wearing helmet, t-shirt, shorts and sneakers.
We call them Mexican bagpipes down here.
What politician’s palms were greased so that they were allowed to violate noise restrictions? What if I drove around all day without a muffler?
So when is Biden gonna sign this into law? This is the kind of positive, no nonsense solutions to crime we need more of!
