Welcome to The Bicycle Thread. A monthly PING List for bicycle enthusiasts to share experiences, information and ideas.
I have not been able to find the Tour de France on my cable TV (Comcast). Is it behind a paywall on Peacock or some other streaming channel?
If you live in Berlin, you probably don’t know what the American TV arrangements are.
The Tour de France will be available to view in the USA on Peacock Premium (opens in new tab). A seven-day free trial is available, while a subscription to Peacock Premium will set you back $4.99 (or $9.99 without ads) per month.
Thanks for the info, but it makes me mad that I now have to pay extra on top of my monthly $220 cable bill for this one event. I have to pay for 150 channels I never watch, and now I have to pay extra for the TDF!!!!!!!
First TDF was won by a recumbent. Then they banned recumbents. Why?
What’s Butt-e-e’s FR handle?

Uh, NO, you really don’t.
Bicycling is really ALL about being outside.

Broke my collarbone when the front wheel left the “death forks” due to a
stripped quick release hub on one of these, back in high school.

In addition to our disappointment, that TdF which is broadcasted is NOT with Phil Ligget and Bobke.
It's Ligget's 50th year with the Tour and some low personality type is broadcasting. The feed is 100% French TV and no on course feed from the motos either.
Thank goodness the July Basho (sumo) comes on NHK World in a few days - for free!
I’m a long time Tour lover. It’s on Peacock, which you have to subscribe to, which I hate. However, the coverage so far has been superb.

Phil and Bobke are still broadcasting, great as always. You need to subscribe to Peacock. Stinks, but that’s where we are...
Fortunately, I, as a retiree, can do both! Here in hot&humid Florida Gulf Coast, I get out on my recumbent around 7am for an hour+, then return and watch the replay in the afternoon!
And for @llevrok, I can watch either PeacockTV stream ($9.95 level); 1) is listed as the 'USA Coverage' that has Phil&Bob&crew (I still miss Paul Sherwen d:2018) and 2) is listed as "Tour de France". BOTH are taken from the French TV as no other live coverage is permitted. The #2 coverage is (?) part of the premium package as it is no commercial while the afternoon stream of #1 has the commercials removed (mostly).
No it wasn't ...
... unless you call ^^^^^that^^^^^ a recumbent.

It has been said that cycling has one thing in common with sex. Most of those who are interested in it would rather do it than watch.
Happy Independence Day! May God bless and protect America!
Watching Tour de France! Lots of support from Danish people....big crowds on sidelines.
