Today’s America is not a place for subtlety and nuance. Today’s youth seem especially incapable of handling fine distinctions. No interesting heterodox mix of positions will be tolerated; total conformity is required. Cleave to the party line in toto, lest ye be canceled.
“Cancel Culture” is the new regime whereby one can lose one’s livelihood, one’s reputation, and even one’s friends for not hewing to every last tenet of the reigning orthodoxy. The gay journalist Chadwick Moore learned about the intolerance of left-wing cancelers when he came out as a conservative (italics added):
"I began to realize that maybe my opinions just didn’t fit in with the liberal status quo, which seems to mean that you must absolutely hate Trump, his supporters and everything they believe. If you dare not to protest or boycott Trump, you are a traitor."
If you dare to question liberal stances or make an effort toward understanding why conservatives think the way they do, you are a traitor.

This works just fine for the Left in any situation in which they have dominance (ex. colleges). But I think it increasingly fails in any area where normal people can be found.
If you ask a Conservative to explain the Liberal view of gun control, abortion, or taxing the rich, most Conservatives can do a credible job of explaining the views of the Left. And then make rational counter-arguments.
The Left can't do that. Conservatives are pro-life, because we're Nazis. Conservatives are not afraid of guns, because we're stupid. Conservatives don't want to tax the bejeezus out of the rich, because we're racists.
Yes, at Harvard or Yale or your company's HR department, these are "compelling" arguments against the racist, stupid, Nazi-like policies of Republicans. But at some point normal people might notice that Conservatives can debate issues and Liberals can only scream insults.

It’s so painful. Hearing a EE with 30 years experience not getting to choose the right candidate for the job. So an obese Karen or LaQuiesha, with zero comprehension of what electrical engineering even is, picks some melanin or sits to pee candidate…
People on the left better start realizing that the cancel culture will be coming for them soon also. Those that are in charge are going further and further left and if those under them don’t follow, they will be cancelled. How far left can half of this country go before there will be more and more of them wanting off the bus? Cancel culture is an absolutely horrible thing in this country.
Speaking of cancel culture...it worls both ways, its reciprocal.
Almost 1000 out of 5000 New York City Police detectives have retired and left their jobs. This is in reaction to both defunding and demoralizing the police with No Bail LAws and release of felons.
Soon the various police departments all over the nation will be devolving.
And where will many of these retired detectives go?
Many will go to work for MAGA. And they know the neighborhoods.
