A platoon of SEALs wouldn’t have been able to keep my wife from our boys. Natural fact.

I have said openly that if the officers were stopping parents from going in to save their children, as a parent, I would start shooting the officers.

How stupid can you get?

Seems like they're going to try and find out.

Once they got their hooks in, you're toast.

Everything that is a part of probation or parole is designed to keep you IN the system.

I’m guessing they were looking for something in her records to scare her with.
And that was the best they could come up with.

The citizens need to rise up against these bastards like they did in Athens Tennessee…

I would have held one hostage and the two of us would have gone in.

Warren vs DC

There’s nobody to sue here, although it IS an interesting twist that the PD was ACTIVELY RESTRAINING PARENTS and hindering them from saving their kids.

Warren vs DC might not hold here. In fact, in Warren, the notion that the Police are they to protect is formally quashed. Police have no such responsibility.

In Uvalde, the Police in addition to doing nothing, restrained parents from their ability to protect their children. Knowing Warren vs DC relieves police from protecting citizens, they should have stood aside and not hindered rescue attempts.

There probably is grounds to sue I guess.

“The fact that [Uvalde School Police Chief] Pete Arredondo wasn’t fired immediately based upon whatever it is, hours of video, from testimonies such as from Angeli, is an indication that there is some sort of what, corruption or wrongdoing,” he said to reporters.”

Fired? Frankly, I’m actually shocked that son of a b is still breathing.

I hope she wins her lawsuit. I hope everyone who lost a child or whose child was at the school that day collects big time.

The only downside to my wish, is that a fair and honest settlement to the victims would bankrupt Uvalde Texas. Property taxes would have to triple in order to fairly pay out the victims. However, citizens get the school, police and local government that they vote for. I hope this is a wake up call to Uvalde and every other community in the country to please, please vote conservatively and wisely. No more Pete Arredondo‘s.

This must be one really corrupt town. The fact that every single police officer wasn't immediately fired and the State Police brought in to replace them is very telling.

What is the Governor of Texas doing about this? Why isn't the Uvalde city government being forced out? WTF?!

I hope she files a suit. Discovery will be (hopefully) very revealing.

I have frequently stated my belief that citizens get the local government they deserve.

Schools, police departments, local governments, etc. are put in place by the people who live there. And if you are a crooked, corrupt, scum sucking, welfare collecting, antifa , lowlife, than you deserve to live in a place like Portland Oregon or Minneapolis Minnesota.

I’ve been very fortunate all my life to live with people like me, in a suburb with LEO’s like me. With a local government that is conservative and not wasteful with my tax dollars.

Then six years ago I moved to a remote area in a county where the sheriffs office is 45 miles away. Even if the sheriffs office was crooked and corrupt, it would hardly affect me. I’m on my own, and I love it.

Why don't the police and other folks go after the School Board and the Truant office who should have blown the whistle on this murderer after he was absent from school.

It will not be the Police Chief who is in trouble.

Yes, the police could have reacted.

In HISD after a student is found absent after 2 days then a Truant officer finds out why and why was this not done

You can be assured it is done in any school district here in Texas and the Police Chief and his officers are not responsible for the murders of these children.

The investigation is still underway. Last week saw testimony that they actually disarmed and restrained a police officer who wanted to go in because his wife was a teacher inside and was bleeding out.

She died.

Let the investigation be complete so we get the full picture of the failure.

This story makes a person wonder how any LE 'team' anywhere would react, if so tested. Pretty unsettling, to be sure.

The cops in this need to be given a dull knife and a private place to do the right thing. Not worth the dynamite it would take to blow them up.

That’s a good conjecture. Pitiful, isn’t it? Instead of restructuring the PD, chopping some heads, etc, they do that crap to a citizen.

I recall reading that the day of/day after the shooting. Really pissed me off...
