One of the primary reasons for immoral women deciding to have an abortion is the potential discovery of infidelity. Were a husband or even a boyfriend to discover that their "woman" has been sleeping around can lead to severe consequences. Men are also advocates of the practice to absolve them of consequences as well. This is not to excuse immoral men for doing the same thing, but is a major reason for demanding that abortion be legal...it removes the evidence of wrong-doing. All of the other supposed reasons for needing an abortion represent a miniscule amount of cases relative to the ones mentioned here. Pro-abortion advocates will never talk about that subject, but it is the truth of the matter.
Secondarily, getting pregnant at the wrong stage of life and the subsequent time demands of caring for a baby ruin career plans. This specifically affects women more than men. Instead of having a goal of being a Godly mother, these women only focus on themselves and their careers. Again, pro-abortion followers are not going to want to talk about that.
It all comes down to the value system by which one lives. This brings the Bible into play which explains why they hate the Bible so much. If people will turn back to God and live by the values found in God's Word, all of these problems basically disappear. People refuse to live by the correct value system, try to create their own, and disaster results. Men who refuse to live their lives by those proper values are leading women into sin instead of Godliness. Men have the greater responsibility for not being LEADERS.
Some ways are more effective than others if you insist on keeping a family small. Abstinence is most effective. If you want some spacing and don’t mind a largess family and want to keep chemicals and stuff out of it, I recommend “Ecological Breast Feeding.” At the same time, it sometimes seems to bring up the contrast between Catholics and Protestants brought out so nicely in The Meaning of Life.
There was a Catholic peer in England in the 30’s or 40’s who made the observation that the Church allowed the Rhythm method “because it doesn’t work”. Theoretically, he’s wrong on two grounds. In theory, theory and practice are the same.
Typical women hating blame shifting.
And men like you want women to so you don’t have to.
What a pathetic excuse for a man.
Get back in your kitchen.
To say the Bible condones slavery is completely false.

Thank you,

Jesus wrote the entire Bible. He is God. I suggest the book of Philemon (a very short book) as a primer.
I would say no, which leaves The Problem Of Pain, in my view, unresolved, since there is obviously a mismatch somewhere.
Excellent correction.
“Un-born” sounds like “un-alive”, something that is not and will not be.
Many people on both sides insist on treating women as though they were Invincibly Ignorant.
The other half of that would be women following where good men lead.
Do you genuinely believe that most women are prepared to do that?
Who is preaching that fatherhood is a blessing that men should happily welcome and that will be valued and respected?
Any church?
Any columnist?
Stopping evil people from hurting good people would be good.
I ask it of businesses.
People who spend their work days at a desk should be able to work from home.
My motto used to be, “I don’t care how many of their unborn babies the liberals kill.”
I have since then changed my mind. I do care. I’m not religious but I do believe in the Golden Rule. If I expect others to respect my right to life then I am obligated to respect theirs. That applies if that other person is unborn as of yet. It also applies if that person’s father is a rapist or other type of criminal.
I hold these values out of self interest. I think the world will be a better place FOR ME if everyone else holds these values.
Ephesians 6:5 and Colossians 3:22 - call on slaves to be obedient to their masters. “Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.
Proof slavery was condoned in the Bible.
Yes. This is not proof.
This is advice to indentured servants and slaves to be obedient. This is in their best interest.
What would you like God to say?
“Slaves, disobey your masters. Run away. Attack and destroy them.”
That’s an instant death sentence.
There is no scripture ordering us to take chattel slaves. That fact that in those Roman occupied lands chattel slavery was endemic is ACKNOWLEDGED. it is not endorsed. Historically most of the early church was composed of chattel Roman slaves.
Rather, God’s law forbids manstealing (a death penalty crime) and requires the release of any and all types of slaves - forbidding their murder, rape or gross bodily harm even then. we are further forbidden to return runaway slaves of any kind.
Maybe, maybe not.
Whether anyone follows or not, it does not absolve any individual man or woman from his or her moral responsibility before God and others.
God set the moral standards by which we should live and it’s not women’s responsibility to make sure men live up to that. Every person is individually responsible for their own selves regardless of what others do and is ultimately. answerable to God for what they did with what they were given.
It is good, so I guess you think that God taking over a person’s will and forcing them to do something is acceptable to you.
Slavery is no more endorsed in Scripture because there are regulations concerning it any more than divorce is endorsed because God has regulations concerning it.
