He's got my vote for 2nd worst, and I believe he did regret giving us the Fed later in life.
Biden isn’t that much of a puppet. He may be doing what he’s told but he has no disagreements with it all. He is every bit as evil a piece of work as his handlers.
And Enimies,
Foreign and Domestic with
Lots of Money.
The US has had enough bad Presidents to make calling any of them “the worst” difficult. That being said, Obama and Biden (3rd Obama admin) have done more to destroy the American Culture in the shortest amount of time, but the most damning indictment of Washington in all of this is the total indifference to the grotesque amount of corruption in everything Washington touches. There is evidently no level of corruption which is beyond the pale in DC.
They both are anti American horrible destructive marxists. Obama just had the skill to make people feel good while twisting the knife in their backs.
One must apply advanced metrics. Junta Joe has done tremendous damage, especially on a prorated basis. Cumulative totals not yet fully compiled...
Even the preliminary totals are astounding....................
He’s also a sock puppet!
Any article about the worst US president that does not mention Lyndon B. Johnson is stupid, worthless, pointless and must be ignored.
Biden takes the blame for the Kenyanesian Usurper.
Since most historians are liberals, they will put an asterisk next to Slow Joe’s name and blame his deficiencies on Trump.
He has blamed Republicans, “ultra MAGA” supporters.
Sit down Joey the show is just beginning buckle up it’s going to be a hell of ride like you never seen.
Unfortunately generations thought FDR was just short of God Himself. I don’t know how often I tried to make the point that everything he did deepened the depression. They wouldn’t listen.
I remember back in Junior High being astounded that my dad (WW II vet) hated FDR. And Kennedy too (But dad! The one ended the war and the other one was assassinated!!)
I don’t really recall him educating me on them. Perhaps he did, but just a little. (Not like my wife and I that got probably too into history and politics with our kids at a young age).
It wasn’t until after college that I realized how terrible FDR was.
My family, on both sides, were solid democrats except when it came to FDR and JFK. My dad hated both of them. He called FDR the American Dictator and he had no use at all for Kennedy.
The rest of the family though has remained Democrat and still think highly of FDR.
I LOVE THIS!!! LOL
The jury is still out but as a history major I would say the conclusion is premature. It is hard to top Buchanan whose actions directly led to the civil war (and a woefully unprepared union military). Johnson also completely blew the reconstruction. And Wilson slaughtered thousands of men entering yet another Euro war.
I think the better question would be who is the worst president of my lifetime? For many years there was little doubt it was Jimmy Carter, though Obama was a close contender. But Biden may yet surpass both of his predecessors as he is a complete fail on both the economy and foreign policy. At some point when the dementia is worse it will be similar to the Wilson admin after his stroke. 25th Amendment here we come.
“Makes you wonder how historians can claim he had a 70+% approval rating when he died in office.”
Him dying in office probably raised his approval rating for lots of folks!
I never understood as a kid why my dad hated FDR (”he won the war dad!”) but now I get it.
Also - the press was ALL IN for FDR.
The following is a link to an old FR article. It has a very long read of an old booklet written in 1939 called “The Revolution Was” and goes into detail about FDR and his failed policies. Well, failed America, but furthered FDR’s revolution.
The similarities with FDR and Obama is striking, and so to with Biden. Some of the Obama speeches are pulled right from the old FDR speeches.
