Well at 21 her BABY thought it was a SAD DAY then too. We all have sad days but she is still alive and perhaps the baby SHE destroyed would have been the one who found a cure for cancer or helped humanity is some great way or developed a new energy source for mankind but we will never know because HER BABY never had a chance to live.
There’s a movie that sometimes pops up. Name of it is “Doonby” made in 2013 starring John Schneider as a drifter who shows up in a town. His presence there affected so many people in clear, tangible positive ways (some saved lives, others saved futures)......all the ways his presence there are shown with interspersing segments of a young woman (from that town) and what her life had been like. Also shown is a little boy at that time, presumably him.
Clues like his answers to questions like “what kind of a name is Doonby?” and “where are you from?” are presented. And, as the movie begins its last ‘act,’ we are shown what REALLY happened if the drifter weren’t there. IIRC, the residents seem to remember something of the “what if he were there” but couldn’t put their finger on it. Finally someone figured out that “Doonby” actually meant “Nobody,” and that the drifter was the soul/presence/incarnation of the aborted baby by that young woman shown throughout the movie.
For me, it was a really very powerful movie. It never really got the attention it deserved, IMO. My guess is Hollywood and PP did their best to suppress it.

In no other country does anybody have a constitutional “right” to an abortion and the US constitution says utterly nothing about it. The US is now much more in-line with other countries - yes even European ones - when it comes to abortion....ie it is a political matter to be decided by laws.
Hell, in France they are thinking of changing the law to allow abortion up to 14 weeks from the currently limited 12 weeks. The abortion law in Mississippi that was the subject of the Dobbs case allows abortion up to 15 weeks. Mississippi is more loose in what it allows than France is.
Its just that some of the pro abortion crowd in the US have fetishized this issue.

She’s got decades of life ahead of her, most as a person whose looks have faded. Unless she is an irremediably shallow piece of crap her eyes are going to light upon a child somewhere someday and she realize that the human she killed was someone, a person, as unique as every other. Instead of having another person to love and think about and shape and mold, she can sit alone in front of her mirror and catalog the ever deepening degradation of the looks that she based her life on.
If she eventually has another child, that dead baby she butchered will haunt her dreams. Perhaps in doing so that dead baby will redeem her, God willing.
