Because women taking responsibility for pregnancy prevention is just too much to ask. There are many many different choices for birth control. Find one you like and use it regularly. Avoid unprotected sex (or any sex) on days near the fertile part of your cycle. Would it kill you not to have sex for a week? If not getting pregnant is so important to you, act responsibly.
