Please remember all women who were duped into thinking that their pregnancy was just a "clump of cells" and not a human baby and went on to have an abortion since it was freely available under Roe v Wade.
Please don't believe that all women who had abortions are hoes, especially in the early days. Many women believed the propaganda and succumbed to it, only to regret it later.
Great! You who are without sin may now cast the first stone.
I totally agree.
One of the ladies from our Bible study group had an abortion very young.
I do believe that it haunts her to this day.
God forgives her, but she cannot forgive herself.
The Left attacked Senator Jesse Helms and Representative Henry Hyde as being “anti-woman” because they were pro-life. Helms and Hyde just wanted women to stay barefoot and pregnant according to the trendy set. Hugh Hefner wanted abortion legal because it could get men out of situations where they would have to face responsibility. The trendy set thought Hefner was cool and pro-woman. Hefner was being selfish, and Helms and Hyde were being ethical.
Don't worry about my sins. Worry about your own. My sins are between me, and God.
In my young days I met a girl I really liked and thought we might be on the road to somewhere good. Anyway, she asked me my thoughts on the issue. I told her that I believed that a human life began at conception. Anyway, that was not the answer she wanted to hear and I lost my turn. Good for me.
I remember Jesse Helms.
North Carolina and I loved him.
NC was very conservative at the time.
But the media bashed him mercilessly.
The country AND WOMEN were deceived.
First it was abortions would be safe, legal and RARE.
We were told that untold women were getting dirty, undoubtedly fatal back alley abortions and there was no alternative except for legal abortions.
And then the realization is that now 50% of every abortion is a repeat abortion. Let that sink in.
It turned out it wasn’t about RARE abortions it was about REPEAT abortions.
Women were told, then and now, REPEATEDLY, that abortion is just getting rid of a clump of cells. They ARE NOT TOLD that they are terminating the life of a living individual with unique DNA.
Yeah, many women today (with advanced ultrasound capabilities undeniably identifying that a fetus is alive) still don’t understand that a fetus is a live human with unique DNA because of the Roe v Wade culture that exists. And is being torn down as we message.
Praise God.
Thank you, I worked for Helms’ first reelection campaign in 1978 and later worked for his Washington office. He would really fight ‘em.
Exactly.
Oh, wow. You escaped, good for you.
“Just pray for them“
Amen!
I have a hard time believing women were duped into thinking the fetus was just a clump of cells, not human, but I do believe many were duped into believing that abortion was consequence-free and were surprised at the guilt and sorrow they experienced after they killed their babies.
“I do believe many were duped into believing that abortion was consequence-free and were surprised at the guilt and sorrow they experienced after they killed their babies.”
And they deserve our prayers, too.
June 24, 2022 is a monumental day.
Yea I have known post abortive women who have a hard time accepting forgiveness from Christ. Their repentance is real. But they can’t get their babies back.
I am grateful I did not do this terrible thing. I could have, before I knew the Lord.
I don’t know about escaping. I’ve made many mistakes in life and pray for forgiveness.
Ditto. I was raised by liberals but it backfired. Bigly. God pulled me to the right.
The few women I know that had abortions were all under 18 and the abortions were arranged by their parents.
you are correct
the devil has steered the culture
“I dont believe the vast majority were duped.”
I agree. They weren’t duped. They knew exactly what they were doing. Many forms of birth control were available, including abstainance. Convenient abortions were just an extension of “if it feels good, do it”.
Dodged a bullet. Good for you.
