We all knew it was coming, and we all knew what the reaction would be. During the 10 am ET hour Friday, CNN’s Jim Sciutto visibly winced as he broke the news that the Supreme Court had overturned the precedent establishing abortion as a legal right.
In the wake of Roe v. Wade’s demise, here’s a little glimpse at the overwrought declarations by everyone’s favorite usual suspects in TV news:
MSNBC’s Joyce Vance had a rather network-appropriate action to the ruling:
This is a tough situation. I think we all knew that this was coming. I think we expected for it to feel bad. I’m not sure we all fully appreciated how devastating it would feel to to see the words on the paper condemning women to second-class citizenship.
ABC’s Terry Moran appeared disappointed that nearly two months of threats and protesting (not to mention an assassination attempt) had failed to sway any of the justices to reconsider. “Alito had written previously that, ‘We cannot allow our decisions to be affected by any extraneous influences such as concern about the public’s reaction to our work,’ Moran noted, continuing: “that’s exactly what they’ve done here; they’ve ignored any potential public reaction.”
Over on NBC, chief legal analyst Chuck Todd offered some predictably dramatic takes about the Supreme Court’s legitimacy: “I think there are no more black robes. I think the robes are red and blue.” He added: “There really is a lot of people who believe that this is a rigged court.”
Over at CNN, legal analyst and Zoom enthusiast Jeffrey Toobin proclaimed that the decision would lead to “a legal civil war between the states.”
Has Joy Behar gone on a sex strike yet? Lol.
They’re “court deniers.”
That’s just the sound of victory 🤪
“Has Joy Behar gone on a sex strike yet?”
Only in her husband’s dreams.
CBS was lamenting how people vote at the end of their broadcast
Imagine if only the core leftists who are five people and a fax or a dotcom were the only one to go ballistic over this? At last report … “hundreds” turned out…hundreds.
“Alito had written previously that, ‘We cannot allow our decisions to be affected by any extraneous influences such as concern about the public’s reaction to our work,’

That’s why they are given lifetime appointments.
Breyer and the two girls...just look at their record...it's the same MO as Romney, Collins and Murkowski....they just make it up...
What man in his right mind would want to have sex with Joyless Behar?
They’re “court deniers.”
Oh, that’s genius!
Exactly why they’re lifetime...no big deal job waiting when they leave.
Add Alan Dershowitz to the list.
He says it is an illegal decision by SCOTUS.
You’re kidding. Got a link to that?
Where will guys go to get their abortions now?
Without the RINOs (assistant Democrats) who approved Trump nominees for SCOTUS, Roe would still be here. None of the real Democrats approved Trump nominees.
Happy about the gun bill they just gave to Senile Joe to sign?
The gun decision was 6-3, the Roe ruling was 5-4, Roberts sided with the commies.
They want sooo badly to say this was voted on by old, white men, but they can’t forget that Thomas and Barrett voted for it. A black guy and a WOMAN! You just know this burns them up. I’ve even heard them refer to the Trumps appointees as illegitimate.
