This was the alternative to cigarettes. You can still sell cigarettes. So this makes no sense at all.
What worried me about the ‘ban’ was the suggestion in the ruling that it would include all nicotine delivery systems.
I know that things like Nicorette have helped a lot of people quit or seriously cut down on smoking.
(My husband noticed yesterday that all the stores had already removed all Juul products.)
What makes no sense is targeting one company of many who make the same product just because that company happens to have done a good job marketing and getting product placement which allowed them to get 75% of the market.
Juul helped people stop smoking. The government doesn’t really want people to stop smoking. The tax on tobacco products is a cash cow for the feds. They raise the tax every year. Do you really think they want people to quit? Their stop smoking campaign has been way too successful, so they have to do something.
