WaWa is as woke woke as it gets. Sheetz embraced the masks and the mask shaming as a corporate policy, they also used Covid as a cover to trim down their food menu, claiming it was the supply chain crisis that made them do it. All of them -- Wawa, Turkey Hill, Rutters, RoFa, Sheetz, 7-11 -- are big business and crowd out locally-owned competitors. They want you to fight over who makes a better sandwich because it helps cover up what they're doing to locally owned companies.

I have a suspicion that Sheetz was the subject of Karen complaints over its mask enforcement policy early in COVID back in 2020. The ones I frequented had prominent signs on them that said something to this effect: “Government regulations require all customers to wear a face mask. If you aren’t wearing one, we will assume you have a medical condition that prevents you from doing so. Thank you.”
I thought it was an awesome way to get around the idiotic government mandates. Unfortunately, that only lasted about two weeks before they got very strict about it.
