Joy Behar asks Karine Jean-Pierre how to convince Americans inflation, gas prices are 'not Joe Biden's fault'

On Thursday, "The View" co-host Joy Behar asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre how to convince Americans that skyrocketing inflation and gas prices were not President Biden's fault.

"The case has been made that inflation is an intractable problem around the world. We talk about it here all the time, and not just in a crisis in the states but in the eyes of many voters, ‘the buck stops with the president,’ to paraphrase Harry Truman. But with the president's handling of inflation and the economy hitting lows in recent polls, how do you make the case to voters that his economic policies are working, that it's not his fault, that inflation is a worldwide problem, that the gas prices are not Joe Biden's fault? How do you do that?" Behar asked.

Jean-Pierre emphasized that it was a "global challenge" and that it was connected to "Russia's war."

Jean-Pierre claimed that when people "look at their household balance sheets, it is strengthened in a way because of what the president has done."

She said that the economy was in a transition and that "we're going through that transition to be more in a stable, steady growth, and that's how we believe we'll be able to fight inflation."

Co-host Sara Haines asked the press secretary about the president's decision to call on Congress to pass a gas tax holiday.

"Anything helps," Jean-Pierre said, adding: "18 cents per gallon is going to make a difference for many."

It would require a lobotomy to convince people that Joe’s not responsible for gas prices, inflation, shortages, higher electricity and natural gas prices, crime and a general malaise. This could either be done in the traditional medical way of poking a probe through the orbital socket and stirring around in the brain. Or the newer and crueller electronic method of making the patient watch the View for 168 hours straight with the eyes held open Clockwork Orange style. The brain will be quite dead from that.

Gas was ~$2/gal.
Biden turned off the US spigot on day one.
We were self-sufficient with all the energy we needed.
We produced so much natural gas we exported the stuff.
It IS Biden’s fault.

That’s why nobody is buying the “Putin Price Hike” nonsense. Gas was already skyrocketing long before the Russian invasion and everybody knows it.

"The case has been made that inflation is an intractable problem around the world.

And that is because the US FIAT Dollar is the World Reserve Currency, when we screw the pooch, it reverberates around the world at lightning speed and screws every country that backstops their funny money with our funny money. By the way, everything that is happening is NORMAL and Expected, because that what Central Banking does and ALWAYS HAS DONE!

Why not? I've been banned from the Gonzaga Hoops Board for two weeks, for dropping a Brandon reference on a post.

One outraged liberal called it a "political slur" and a personal attack on the President.

The state of Washington is a lost cause, following California to oblivion.

You cannot have a conversation with anyone who thinks the Federalist Papers is another brand of doobie rolling papers.

I said that joke last night, and my 11 YO grandson amazed me. He saw the musical "Hamilton", and I need to watch it. He remembered that Hamilton was responsible for 51 of the Federalist Papers.

A few years ago, I told my (unfunny, but biting) joke about Juneteenth. The South cut their Internet lines and the message had to be delivered to Texas via Pony Express.

He immediately said, "Opa, there was no internet during the Civil War."

Yep, 70% of the price increase occurred before the conflict began.

Just keep repeating

"War is peace!"
"Freedom is slavery!"
"Truth is the Big Lie!"
"Inflation and staggering gas prices are not Biden's fault!"

I can’t imagine who watches that show and thinks they’re learning something valuable.

The studio audience doesn't come to learn but to eat. After they all clap on command the air is filled with fish.
