The Supreme Court decision on Thursday upholding American citizens’ right to concealed carry firearms outside of their homes has sent the left-wing media into a tizzy.

The angry torrent of rage spilled forth from blue check Twitter, where Auron MacIntyre did the yeoman’s job of compiling the worst “blue check meltdowns” in an epic thread. Read:

The Supreme Court decision bodes ill for the gun control package being rammed through Congress. There are passages in today’s decision that suggest the “red flag” laws that would deny Americans’ rights without due process would indeed be considered unconstitutional. A ‘dark day’ for the radical left, indeed.

It would be easy to make the states comply. Just have the weapon and ammo manufacturers release a joint statement saying they will no longer sell weapons or ammunition to New York law enforcement.

The Second Amendment prohibits the government from infringing on our right to keep and bear arms.

There is no amendment that guarantees the right to murder someone.

Do they want open carry? If concealed is denied then there will be open carry. Imo, that makes things a bit more volatile.

They don't think. It's going to be like this for a while, everyone in hyper excitement, fear and anguish. Then it gets much worse.

This is why people warned about collectivism. Here it is. Whew! Missed me and mine.

Really demonstrative of the differing world views on rule of law.

One side believes laws are malleable, flexible, and can be interpreted as the judge wishes per his or her politics.

One side believes laws are firm and resistant to politics.

IMO laws are laws and if you don’t like them, change them. There is a mechanism for that. But if you’re willing to pretend laws say something they don’t when you’re in charge, be ready to have laws never mean anything.

The deep state has been chipping away at our rights for decades and giving special rights to the smallest of groups. Change is coming.

Nicole Sandler, now there’s someone I can agree with:

“DO NOT TRAVEL TO THE U.S.”

Yes, illegal migrants, the U.S. is just too dangerous for you to come here. You need to go back home where you will be safe.

The dumbest one seems to be Hogg

Not only does todays ruling endanger
the American people it also endangers
the lives of the justices themselves.
Unlike the justices however- the
American people do not have the
privilege of Congress immediately
acting to protect them.

He’s correct that Congress isn’t protecting the people. They’re actively trying to take our gun rights away. The court, however, just passed on the protections they get and decided we get to protect ourselves too.

I see Hochul says she is ready to go back to muskets. She should inform her security detail of this immediately.

if I’m reading it right- the businesses must first give people permission to enter if they have concealed- so it appears like she will require them to frisk evidently

Hochul saying "I'm prepared to go back to muskets".

OK, get shot with a musket, and instead of a small hole through the body, you literally get that body part destroyed.

Biden “Deeply Disappointed” In SCOTUS Ruling On Open Carry

An hour after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a New York state law requiring people to show a special need (such as a business owner handling cash) to carry a handgun outside the home in public, the White House released a statement from President Biden saying he was “deeply disappointed” with the ruling that “contradicts both common sense and the Constitution, and should deeply trouble us all.”

Here’s the president’s statement:

I am deeply disappointed by the Supreme Court’s ruling in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen. Since 1911, the State of New York has required individuals who would like to carry a concealed weapon in public to show a need to do so for the purpose of self-defense and to acquire a license. More than a century later, the United States Supreme Court has chosen to strike down New York’s long-established authority to protect its citizens. This ruling contradicts both common sense and the Constitution, and should deeply trouble us all.

In the wake of the horrific attacks in Buffalo and Uvalde, as well as the daily acts of gun violence that do not make national headlines, we must do more as a society — not less — to protect our fellow Americans. I remain committed to doing everything in my power to reduce gun violence and make our communities safer. I have already taken more executive actions to reduce gun violence than any other President during their first year in office, and I will continue to do all that I can to protect Americans from gun violence.

I urge states to continue to enact and enforce commonsense laws to make their citizens and communities safer from gun violence. As the late Justice Scalia recognized, the Second Amendment is not absolute. For centuries, states have regulated who may purchase or possess weapons, the types of weapons they may use, and the places they may carry those weapons. And the courts have upheld these regulations.

I call on Americans across the country to make their voices heard on gun safety. Lives are on the line.

So he calls the ruling unconstitutional and urges governments to ignore the ruling.
