In 1985, English singer-songwriter Kate Bush released a song called “Running Up That Hill.” It did pretty well — reaching No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
But 37 years after its release, the tune — featured in last week’s episode of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” — bumped Harry Styles’ “As It Was” to No. 2 on the US Billboard Top 10.
The unexpected success also makes her both the oldest and the youngest woman to have a self-written No. 1 in the United Kingdom, Billboard reported.

Wow, she is a very talented and beautiful dancer. What elegant, smooth and utterly sensuous moves.
Kate did a lot of great stuff that’s for sure. When she teamed with Peter Gabriel it was magic.
They are saying on tiktok she is making $250k a week from the spotify plays of a million per day.
Experiment IV, Cloudbusting, and Never Be Mine were her best songs.
She was enchanting on Don’t Give Up.
She's truly unique. And that's an incredibly rare thing in modern music. Also like the fact that you'd never have to wonder about her "pronoun". She's always been incredibly feminine while never being sleazy.
My wife sat in front of Winona in her High School French class. She says she was whack even then.

I believe that she also choreographed the video as well.
She had her first concert "tour" in 35 years as a residency of 22 concerts in London in 2014. They sold out in 15 minutes.
I still remember the first time I saw her on TV, as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, back in the 70s, where Michael Palin hosted!

Yes! Die-hard Genesis fan here. :) Got to see Peter Gabriel with Genesis on their last tour together at the lake shore in Milwaukee. (Summer Fest - back before it became a shooting gallery.)
I’ll never forget it. Amazing performance by all.
David Gilmour “discovered” Kate Bush...and plays lead in this live performance of “Running Up That Hill...and even better than the original studio version

Thanks! :)
No “thanks” necessary.
You only needed to reply “yea, yea, yo”....

LOL! Noted! :)
Thank you! Interesting. I’m from that era that just listened to music on the radio or on the Hi-Fi with no fancy videos to go along with it, LOL!
Watching some of Kate’s old videos this morning makes me think ‘Florence and the Machine’ owe her a debt of gratitude!
I see a LOT of similarities in the choreography, pacing, song themes, etc.
I like them both.
I’m with you. I think Gabriel’s “So” was as big an LP as Sgt. Pepper.
I still enjoy her music. “Roll in the Ball,” “Wuthering Heights,” “Running Up That Hill,” “Hello Earth” and others are on one of my frequently played playlists.
