Trump WAS threatened by Mitch McConnell and senators though...
Agree
McConnell’s threat would’ve been easily followed through on.
Frankly I don’t know how any executive can defy the deep state and expect to keep their job. An honest media would be imperative and we all know such does not exist.
That and not forcing Wall $$$$$$$ on the first budget
Assange and Snowden are scumbags
He shouldn’t have discussed it (nor a lot of other things) with that stable of traitors - just wait until the last minute and do it.
If Trump gets in again, he needs to swing for the fences and have no fear of anyone. The Left doesn’t compromise and we should not either. Use the power. Use all of it. Be bolder than the Left. Make the world new.
Pompeo was the one behind this. This was the danger in allowing RINOs into the Trump admin.
Pompeo was crowing with joy over the Biden admin getting to finish off Assange.
Disagree. Snowden is a traitor who stole 1.7 million secret documents and gave it to first China and then Russia. Classic ego case. He thought he is going to be famous and admired by all. Instead he is sitting in Russia drinking himself to death like the other traitors.
Assange is Australian so perhaps not right to call him a traitor, but he is a sick anti-western activist.
His initial claim to fame was somehow getting a hold of secret technical documents about the Warlock IED jamming system. These were secret for a reason. He published these to the world saying “See, this is how you can beat the system! How sad!” knowing full well how this publishing of secret information is only going to help the bomb-makers to kill more Americans and allies.
His meteor rise to fame was when he published and promoted a stolen video of a helicopter in a justified shooting in Iraq and he did it in a manipulated form to mislead the public into unfairly blaming the US.
Was it cowardice or pragmatism or honest belief? I hesitate to call Trump a coward, as he put up with more hatred and scheming than most Presidents short of Nixon, Kennedy, Lincoln, McKinley, Garfield.
Trump must have been shocked to discover just how large and deep the Deep State swamp is.
You do what's right because it's the right thing to do.
Trump's pardons were horrible. No Assange, Snowden. No Ross Ulbrecht (but a whole bunch of black drug dealers got pardoned). None of the January 6th trespassers.
But he hooked up Kwame Kilpatrick, Rod Blagojevich, and a slew of Wall Street crooks and swindlers.
What’s with Greenwald throwing around the word ‘cowardly’
Trump is anything but cowardly!
I don’t appreciate this from Greenwald even though I have generally liked his writings
Agree. Loved Marjorie Taylor Greene standing up to Trump for Assange and Snowden in 2020, and her comments on Assange yesterday.
“Hard to disagree with this brutal assessment.”
Easy for you to say since you were there and are acquainted with the most minute details concerning the situation.
My favorite pardon was Charles Kushner, who spent time in prison for illegal campaign contributions to the dreaded blue team, of all things.
I agree. Hopefully Trump can right this wrong on 1/20/25.
Nah. Trump didn’t think they warranted pardons and I agree. Trump is a law and order kind of guy.
The Assistant Democrats colluded with the Democrats to control Trump, then both factions rigged a national "election" to get rid of him.
This is why the current crop of FR DeSantis touts and shills are full of it when they start carping about "Trump's bad hires".
The beauty of Trump is that he revealed ALL of this because he forced these pieces of rotting Uniparty Mitt to work out in the open.
As a voter, you either learned from it, or you didn't.
Except Obama and now Biden could do the same.
I do not agree.
I believe that President trump was focused on winning in 2020, believed that he would win and did not want to jeopardize his chances.
A second term would give him the opportunity to do many things not possible in his first term.
President Trump foresaw what is happening today and that to him meant winning a second term imperative.
