Disagree. Snowden is a traitor who stole 1.7 million secret documents and gave it to first China and then Russia. Classic ego case. He thought he is going to be famous and admired by all. Instead he is sitting in Russia drinking himself to death like the other traitors.

Assange is Australian so perhaps not right to call him a traitor, but he is a sick anti-western activist.

His initial claim to fame was somehow getting a hold of secret technical documents about the Warlock IED jamming system. These were secret for a reason. He published these to the world saying “See, this is how you can beat the system! How sad!” knowing full well how this publishing of secret information is only going to help the bomb-makers to kill more Americans and allies.

His meteor rise to fame was when he published and promoted a stolen video of a helicopter in a justified shooting in Iraq and he did it in a manipulated form to mislead the public into unfairly blaming the US.

For me Snowden and Assange fall into more of a gray category rather than black/white.

Regardless of exactly where one comes down on them, it's a fantasy to think any Commander in Chief is going to pardon someone who leaked literally hundreds of thousands of US military documents.

• Assangel is NOT a US citizen.

• Assange was NOT on US soil or under US jurisdiction when he committed any of the alleged crimes.

How is the USA able to charge him with breaking US law?

Does US law now extend to other countries?

Does everyone in Sweden now have to obey US law (because that is where the alleged crime took place)?

Should Brazil be able to charge a US citizen, who has never visited Brazil, with breaking Brazilian law? No. It’s absurd.

But now the US has charged an Australian citizen, who was not in the US, of breaking US law? It’s absurd.

Agree. Anyone who tells anyone, even a fellow American, any classified INFO is a damn traitor. I was in a TS unit in 68-69. I never told anyone what we did for over 30 years- when it was disclosed/declassified to the public. I recall hangings at Fort Leavenworth, KS even in 1960. These two pukes and their likes to include Hillary Clinton who sold OUR uranium to Russia need to be HUNG.

Couple things. First, there is absolutely no proof that Snowden gave anything to the Russians or the Chinese. His material was all encrypted and there is no proof that any state actors obtained anything that he didn’t release publicly. Even if the information was taken from him as an end result, he certainly didn’t intend for that result. I cannot consider him a traitor in any circumstances. Second, why would you assume he is “drinking himself to death”? He lives in Russia with his wife and child. He has a good job and probably an extremely high quality of life.

You do not get to have your own facts. Snowden stole and leaked documents to a news source. That news sources was Julian Assange.

America dealt with Snowden, Assange is in a rolling hell. He did nothing illegal. He did nothing all journalists do, publish.

The problem is, America is run by a cabal who believe lying to their masters (We the People) is job number 1.

I agree, Assange should have been pardoned, plain and simple.
