Although mentioned occasionally, although we have members of Congress and who are on the intel committee get caught with Chinese plants (as in known government agents) as their mistress (Swalwell)... it appears we do not react the same way to a Chinese threat as we do with the Russians. Russia is looked at with a microscope in any dealings inside the US, anyone who talks to them, takes money from them, wants to do trade with them...
Meanwile Biden himself gets money from the Chinese and this is well known. But that doesn’t seem to be a problem according to the FBI, the MSM, his party and supporters. No conflict of interest there!

The US seems to be blind where you have a real threat, a real adversary that is directly arming, training, developing their doctrine to fight us. A threat that has shown a willingness to fight, is expansionist, and with whom we have points of conflict: Taiwan, Spratly Islands, etc.
While we pursue and kick around the Russians, a nation best described as a “former” military world power that today might have a global reach regards energy, food supply, platinum, and titanium, but who has no expansionist ambitions and rather is trying to hold onto their borders (Ukraine / Republic of Georgia)... There is no Warsaw Pact, the Soviet Union is long gone. Today’s Russian threat is a mix of Cold War nostalgia mixed with them being an energy competitor and not marching to our tune (how dare they not do what we tell them!). The Russians ruffle their feathers and want to be a power beyond what they are really capable of. It is the Chinese where you have US business that wants no disruptions to their endless cheap labor. You have US political figures on the take (through Chinese US subsideraries that give graciously to US political campaigns). So while the Russians see their media in the US targeted by the US intel community (even though they obviously tap dance around many of the issues), scrutinized and labeled as an “agent of a foreign state” you have the Chinese pipe in full blown uncensored state run media and no one seems to mind. I don’t hear anyone in the US intel community asking to have them labeled as an “agent of a foreign state.” I do not even hear pejoratives such as “propaganda” being used as a word to describe them by our MSM, even though they are ALL state controlled and feed you the message in accordance to the polit bureau in Beijing. How does this work? How can we be so over zealous on in one eye, twitching ready to pull our gun. But completely blind out of the other even as the opponent has their hand on their guns handle?
