Heads up to parents overseeing access to books for their kids.
Even if you homeschool, you've got to play "gatekeeper" on every front, reading material is no exception, and the American Library Association is NOT your friend.
Society's ghouls know the prize value of young minds. As you shop for your young scholars, be aware of boilerplate crowing about what awards books have received. Of special note is the Stonewall Book Award-Mike Morgan and Larry Romans Children’s and Young Adult Literature Award " for exceptional merit relating to the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender experience."
Stay alert.

It's wonderful that an award is named after one of the finest generals of all time, Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. They were surely inspired by his unmatched courage, profound religious convictions and leading by example.
