There are some ratings that Morning Joe likes to trumpet -- and others they prefer to bury.
Take today's episode. The first half-hour went on—at length—about how the first night of the J6 committee hearings attracted 20 million viewers. Mika and Joe repeatedly made invidious comparisons between that viewership, and the ratings scored by Donald Trump's Apprentice shows.
But then there are the ratings that Morning Joe definitely doesn't like to discuss. During Trump's time in office, every dip in his ratings became the subject of delighted discussion. But since Biden took over, his calamitous favorability ratings, such as these, have disappeared from Morning Joe's radar screen.
And then there are the ratings . . . for Morning Joe itself. Check out this chart of the show's Nielsen ratings. As of the end of May, Morning Joe's ratings, compared to two years ago, are down a disastrous 41%. Sad!

I heard a rumor that Mika and Moron are being replaced by Howdy Doody and Flub-a-dub. Dang, what an improvement that would be.
I heard that a rerun of Young Sheldon outperformed J6 on CBS.
The best part of today’s show was the Steve Rattner inflation report. Joe’s been cheerleading the economy for the past months. Steve just handed him the sad news about Brandon’s future and revoked Joe’s pompoms.
Yes, Joe waxing on about the high ratings - never throwing in the show’s he used for comparisons weren’t on ALL major news channels at the same time (except FOXNews).
They will just make up anything. A comparison of the Jan6 hearings to Trumps game show? They have lost their minds in their TDS acrobatics.

That could be true about the Young Sheldon reruns as that show obviously has more to offer to the general public than the Jan. 6 hearings.
was getting tire fixed and the place had the hearings on, so I watched a bit..
I saw nothing except people from Trumps administration that disagreed with him that the election had been stolen.
What exactly is this hearing about?
Because it’s not a crime to be wrong, and it’s not a crime to believe in conspiracy theories or to disagree with others over what is true.
I don’t get where they are going. It seems to me they are just proving that Trump steadfastly believed the election was stolen. Which... would actually justify everything he has said and done, regardless of what exactly is the truth.
For it to be an attempted coup (which it wasn’t) they would have to prove Trump believed Biden won and wanted to illegal ly seize power and over throw the US... but they are proving the exact opposite, the he truly believed (over the advice of many around him) that something illegal had occurred, and was simply trying to get to the truth.
