Disney has taken more than its share of hits lately after sticking its nose in Florida politics and coming out against the state’s Parental Right in Education law. Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida legislature ran circles around Disney, first by passing the legislation and then by revoking Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District.
The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) has suffered financially as a result of its far-left stance against protecting children from grooming, and the public has lost respect for the Disney brand in the wake of its wokeness as well.
One of Disney’s points of pride — no, not that kind of “Pride” — has been its theme parks and their ability to make guests feel like they’ve left the outside world behind and entered an immersive escape. Disney has traditionally thought of every detail and worked hard to accommodate guests at every turn, but as I’ve written before, TWDC has made it harder for guests to make the most of their hard-earned vacation. And I’m not the only one who has noticed.
Inside the Magic , one of the fan sites I follow, included several stories in Saturday’s email about guests who had less-than-magical experiences at Disney’s theme parks and resorts.
One article talks about a Disney guest who wrote on Reddit that he or she has concluded “that everything that made Disney unique is gone."
The Reddit user talks about garbage piling up in trashcans, sets and attractions “getting old” and falling into disrepair, and cast members who aren’t up to Disney’s standards for friendliness and politeness.
“It seems that, recently, it has become a common belief that the experience while visiting Disney World, or any other Disney Park, is declining, which is understandable considering the closures due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,

Let Disney die. The company has crapped on the founder’s wishes.
You mean people are less than enthused about spending tens of thousands of dollars to get bombarded by the same agenda-driven alternate reality they can get from any one of hundreds of mass media outlets free of charge?
They have tons of Job listings up all over Florida but it doesn’t appear that too many want to work for them.
Disney owes me some $$ so I have one final trip (to Disneyland) planned for 2023. I’ve been going every year since my first child was 3 in 2000; my last child will be a senior in high school next year so it will be our last family trip.
End of an era. I think we’re stopping at just the right time. . .
Ironically, the actual "skid row" is only about six miles from Disney Studios in LA, and less than half a mile from the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Went to Disney World when it first opened. Hot. Good service.
Went in 1986. Hot. Good service.
Went in 2005. Hot. Good service.
Went in 2010. Hot So-so service.
Went in 2015. Hot. Lousy service.
Never been back.
Everything the left touches turns to 💩
Once you have 20% "bad people" the whole thing falls apart.
Really? Why?

Really? Why? Didn't Disney get exactly what it deserved?

This is such a shame, my wife and I (no kids) love Disney Florida and have been several time usually in November and December. We used the park hopper pass, stay at a Disney property, went where we wanted, when we wanted. We spent a lot of time at Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) for dining and entertainment. Expensive? Yep, but we felt safe, customer service was always great and it felt like a good vacation. It’s sad to hear it’s going downhill.
“ which is understandable considering the closures due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,”
They have been on a downhill slide for MANY years, IMO. It always shows up first in the little things, such as a light that has burned out and not been replaced, a sign that looks worn, etc, etc, etc. If things like that are allowed to continue, it gets worse. Disney hasn’t been “Disney” for more than 20 years, IMO.
Disney should know that crap placed at the top flows downhill.
Disneyland has always had better guest relations than Disney World.
Screw Disney. Take your kids camping or on a road trip to see some natural beauty/wonders.
We’ve taken our kids all over. The two places they wanted to return to were Cedar Point and Knoebles. Oh, and Cedar Point was because so many of the rides were broken.
Nah, I hike the Kansai area so Atago, Hiei, Kongo, etc.
My buddy hiked Fuji w his gf at the time, but she almost passed out at station 9 (90% of the way up) so they had to go back down.
I have never been able to fathom the attraction.
I never got what so many people raved about Disney for.
FWIW, in the very early 60’s, I remember Disney on Sunday nights. We’d all get in our PJ’s and often with a snack, watch Disney as a family and it was good, wholesome family entertainment.
Even as a kid, I noticed that it didn’t last long. The quality of the shows started to deteriorate.
But as far as the cartoons, I never got into them.
Good!
