In the latest TV ratings, ABC led the primetime Thursday coverage of the House Select Committee on January 6th’s first public hearing.
ABC’s two-hour coverage averaged 4.9 million total viewers, TVLine has learned. Of the other broadcast networks, NBC tallied 3.6 million viewers, while CBS drew 3.4 million. (Fox aired MasterChef Junior and Don’t Forget the Lyrics reruns; The CW’s regularly scheduled drama programming is detailed below.) Amongst cable news networks, MSNBC led the pack with 4.2 million total viewers, followed by CNN’s 2.6 million viewers. Fox News, which didn’t cover the hearing itself, averaged nearly 3 million viewers during the two-hour block. Fox Business (to which Fox News anchors’ actual news coverage was relegated) drew 223,000, while CNBC averaged 160K.
ABC also commanded the largest share of Adults 18-34 and 25-54, while CNN easily led all cablers in those measures.

Popcorn fart......and interest will dwindle from here.
Total of 18.7 Million viewers.
That's a lot.
I didn’t need to watch. I know the shape, form and tone this propaganda takes from having watched it 100 times before.
In 2017
Where are the hour by hour ratings?
How long does a person have to be tuned in to a TV show to count as a viewer?
So, less than 3% of Americans actually bothered to watch this nonsense? How is this a “success”? They’re happy because they had a larger audience than normal?
3 out of 100 people watch and that is a success? I suppose if you had an ad running for the key demo you might be happy with your “success”.
How many of these people watched so that they could “make up their mind”? How many just wanted to watch the train wreck in motion? How many were actually captive viewers that had no choice in what the TV was showing?
Many people in my area were actually at Graduation day with their freshly minted “adults” and could have cared less. Life went on as usual.
Ahh, those numbers are a bit more. Moved from ~3% to around 8%. So, 8 out of every 100 people in the country tuned in for at least a little while.
Still not impressed, and it certainly doesn’t seem to be the earth shaker that the left was promising.
Monday numbers should be interesting.
A lot compared to what? Biden’s State of the Union address drew 38 million. Super Bowl US audience 115 million. NCIS has 11 million viewers.
When you have all the major networks and cable channels except for Fox showing it, the numbers are not that great. And even more telling will be the number of viewers for the next episodes. Last night was the high water mark.
Nah, that’s just government workers. Out of 336,000,000 it’s not much, or even the 72,000,000 who voted for Trump or the 81,000,000 (snicker) who voted for Brandon.
Where is the rebuttle for each night that clearly outlines the deception and players. If they NRC thinks it can wait on the “media” to fairly report it, then they’ll need to be fired.
3 percent of 330 million is 9 million.
That means 3 out of 100 Americans bothered to even scan a portion.
No minds were changed.
My THREE sisters all seemed to have watched it. They seem to believe that, even though it was hard to watch, due to the violence, it is important that people watch it, so they “know the truth”.
I am fairly crushed today. I feel that I might never speak to any of them again. I don’t have the energy to fight this and try to convince them they are wrong.
I know what you are saying.
No idea. That’s a good question.
Who is there ‘competition’ - other libtard fake news with the same bent view - no difference as long as they breathe Libtardism 🤪
No doubt. I didn’t include folks watching online as they usually don’t include those numbers.
To whatever you want to compare it to.
17.8 million is a lot for any event.
You also make an assumption about future ratings. You don’t know.
There will always be a large audience for folks that hate Trump. The numbers bear it out.
336,000,000 million? Are you including Children, and the large percentage of the country that doesn’t pay attention to any of this?
My math figures @ 25% of the 76 million that voted for Trump tuned in.
That’s a large % of the engaged voting public.
The Left for sure, but I bet many Trump supporters tuned in also.
I tried for @ 10 minutes, then switched to Star Trek reruns.
