Trudeau’s Justice Minister and Canadian Attorney General David Lametti announced this week that Canadians do not have an “absolute right to own private property.”

Agreed!!!
Elect pinkos, get communism.
I wish people put 1/2 a second into thinking about who they elect.
They do; so that’s why the political elites have to commit fraud.
Exactly.
The left wants everyone to buy into their hybrid socialist/communist utopian vision.
Got news for you leftist freaks, Utopia is an impossible concept - there is no such thing and no way to get there.
Alot of th epublic doesn’t get it because the left is very careful not call themselves “socialist” or “communist”....notice how the term “progressive” is no longer mentioned very much anymore on the MSM...it was becoming too closely associated to socialism and marxism
Realistically we Americans have the same problem.
We think we own land but that is false. Government taxes us for it, tells us the limits on it’s use(zoning rules), EPA regulations for burns, et al.
Canada is full of good, decent people, it is also full of vile evil people, like USA Democrats.
They just seem to have more of them per capita than America does.
That right doesn’t exist in the US either, which is why the 3rd, 4th and 5th amendments limit government use, seizure and taking of private property.
So I can move into his (that he said is not his) house? I just found the perfect house fora party... 🤓

You know what’s really sad? Before 1982, we actually did have a legislatively recognized right to own firearms and property. Guess who came along and restructured the Constitution of Canada and conveniently forgot to include those?
That’s right, the man who raised Justin.

We in the USA don’t have it either. No, our politicians and government is far more sneaky about it, but we don’t own our land.
If you think I am wrong, don’t pay your property taxes. See who comes calling to collect their due.
I refer you to Kelo v City of New London (545 U.S. 469(2005)).
no elections....we do not vote....we submit to whatever the cabal wants....
Government employees are citizens, correct? Even those who are elected?
Canada, home of authentic Totalitarianism and Authoritarianism.
Rejoice Canadians!?
Rejoice those of us in America cause its coming here!
In the USA there also is no absolute right to property.two words eminent domain followed by two more property taxes.
You lease your property from the government stop paying your property taxes oh great Sovereign citizen and you will see who really owns that land and structure. Same for if a bypass needs to come through see how quickly refusing to sell becomes , eviction and eminent domain. Down on the Canadians but don’t forget to look inside the glass house first.
The left in the United States act as if this was approved doctrine here. Nothing new.
That’s essentially what the income tax states. If you earned it and they took it before you got what’s left, you essentially had no right to it in the first place. 16th amendment if memory serves.
“I wish people put 1/2 a second into thinking about who they elect.”
Many of those voters in Ontario, etc., know exactly who / what they are electing.
I don’t know if they are communist, but it sure looks like bananas would thrive in Ottawa.
Our 'Constitution', (or, as I prefer to call it, our 'constipation', as it is so FoS), the 'Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms', has NEVER had a clause guaranteeing 'private property'. Trudeau Sr., ensured that, when the 'constipation' was written in 1982. That said, NO OTHER RIGHT 'guaranteed' by the 'constipation' is even 'guaranteed'! Such 'rights' are all decided by the courts! From the first paragraph, it is flawed! And I haven't even TOUCHED on the 'Not Withstanding' clause that allows and Province to OPT OUT of parts of the Charter!
Here is the first paragraph of the Charter:
"1 The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society." (Emphasis mine.)
So, in other words, your 'rights' are guaranteed as long as the COURTS agree that they are 'rights'. Given the fact that the Lieberals have held power federally for much of the last 100 years, and have appointed the vast majority of Federal judges and Supreme Court Justices judges, guess how they lean? In addition to current 'activist' judges in PRC (Politically Repressive Canada), much precedent was set by Lieberal appointed judges in the past.
The difference between US and Canadian 'just us' is, in the US, judges 'interpret' the US Constitution. In PRC (Politically Repressive Canada), they decide IF THE CONSTITUTION IS VALID! BIG DIFFERENCE!
I am all for US socialists and liberals to move to Canada, AS LONG AS CONSERVATIVES LIKE ME, CAN MOVE TO THE US!
