Gas prices on Tuesday hit another record under Joe Biden.
Inflation rates are outpacing wages and gas prices are through the roof.
Out-of-touch Democrat Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow bragged that she passed “every single gas station” in her brand new electric vehicle and it didn’t matter “how high gas was.”

“You can’t have it both ways: claim the full range and say everyone will be charging at home.”
Don’t modify my posts! Quote me and cite the objection.
I can claim the max mileage for a long trip.
I can also say that most charging is done at home as that is a true statement.
“Certainly, they can be useful for the daily commute which makes them a special use vehicle. Nothing wrong with that,”
A daily commuter that can also make long trips satisfying most needs.
I can also say that most charging is done at home as that is a true statement.
And that is called living in a fantasy when you only acknowledge the benefits and refuse to consider the downside or the limitations of the technology.
“And that is called living in a fantasy when you only acknowledge the benefits and refuse to consider the downside or the limitations of the technology.”
Where did I refuse to acknowledge the limitations?
Makes you wonder if she’s noticed how high her electricity bill is getting.

as fantasy yet they are absolutely true and you didn’t refute either!
“Makes you wonder if she’s noticed how high her electricity bill is getting.”
Charging at home is about 3 cents per mile.
At $5 a gallon about 20 cents per mile.
The two are mutually exclusive. If you are on a long trip, you are not charging at home. If you are charging at home, your range is divided by two.
Those are two different uses of the vehicle. Why is that so hard to acknowledge? I know people with electric cars, so far none of them have a problem acknowledging the limitations.
A corvette has limitations. A tiny commuter has limitations. A dually pickup has limitations. Only the mighty electric car has no downsides and can do everything every other car can do, only better?
I can fill up my gas car at home, but it really doesn’t make any sense to do it — that is a limitation. Just because an electric car has limitations doesn’t mean it is useless. There is no need for you to be so defensive.
You know, I don’t care if you or anyone else wants an electric vehicle. I’m glad they’re there for you.
But the majority of Americans DON’T want them, and we don’t want them forced on us.
I’m starting to wonder if you have some interest in the industry. If so, you’ve certainly earned your pay today - even though you haven’t convinced anybody.
She probably has some flunky wait for her EV to
get charged while she is picked up by a limo.
Why would charging from home mean half the range? A Model S Tesla will charge from a 60amp NEMA standard 240v plug just like the one your clothes dryer is plugged into. With that plug it will add range at the equivalent to 41 mph every hour it’s plugged in. The Model S LR has a 405 mile range you should not pull the pack under 20% DOD to maximize cycle life. If you pack is at 20% you need to add 324 miles back in to get to 100% that’s 8 hours from that dryer sized plug slight more as the last 5% in the pack is slower charged to equalize the cells properly. I leased a Model S while doing consulting for a year loved it plus it was crazy fast and I took it routinely on road trips from DFW to New Orleans, Midland, OKC, Memphis even as far as Miami. Texasgator already linked the amazingly simple to use Tesla app that tells you where to stop and how long you need at each supercharger typically 25 min or less just enough time to take a leak grab some tacos or BBQ and get the blood flowing after 3+ hours in the seat.
Better yet is have solar panels that have already paid themselves off and charge that Tesla off those effectively for free. Not really as you are losing the income ERCOT would pay you for putting solar power into the grid at peak times which conveniently falls in summer from 2pm till 6pm in the heat of the day. Better to sell the excess power at peak rates and then charge at night off peak in the right market you can turn a net profit and still fill up that Tesla by demand shifting. My next vehicle will be a Model S and or Cybertruck it’s very retrocool looking. Either will be run 100% off my panels and I could care less if the grid goes down my panels go into island mode automatically after the grid disconnect trips. Luddites gonna ludd welcome to the 21st century.
Rd later.
Because you have to be at home to charge at home.
Exceed half the range away from home and you have to charge to get home. If you don't care whether you charge at home and can take 30 minutes to supercharge then you get a different range.
“The two are mutually exclusive. If you are on a long trip, you are not charging at home.”
I said most charging is done at home. Quit twisting my posts.
One can charge at home 355 days a year and then take a long trip using max range to schedule charging.
“Because you have to be at home to charge at home.”
You can leave home with a full charge and recharge at your MIL’s house before returning.
“The two are mutually exclusive. If you are on a long trip, you are not charging at home. If you are charging at home, your range is divided by two.”
LOL! You can charge at home AND also charge on the road!
Just like eating at home doesn’t preclude you from grabbing a meal on the road!
Do you fill up at your local station?
By your logic, you are then limited to half the range of your gas tank.
Filling up at my local station is no different than filling up anywhere else.
Charging your car at home is very different than getting a 30 minute supercharge on the road.
You are very unhinged about this.
