Taser developer Axon said this week it is working to build drones armed with the electric stunning weapons that could fly in schools and “help prevent the next Uvalde, Sandy Hook, or Columbine.” But its own technology advisers quickly panned the idea as a dangerous fantasy.
The publicly traded company, which sells Tasers and police body cameras, floated the idea of a new police drone product last year to its artificial intelligence ethics board, a group of well-respected experts in technology, policing and privacy.
Some of them expressed reservations about weaponizing drones in over-policed communities of color.

Drone tech today is pretty amazing. Not sure sure how a taser would work if the perp had a bullet proof vest on, but how about one that shoots bear spray? They shoot out a window or bust out the door, then send in a drone with a camera and hose down the perp in the face. The controller could see if the perp is blinded or confused by the bear spray and then one or two go officers go through the door and engage.
“Yes, but he’ll shoot at it.”
Ok, send in two, from different angles. Why not?

This is one of the biggest progressive misbeliefs, blaming crime rates in ‘communities of color’ on the level of policing in those communities. I know at least one progressive who believes that if we redeployed the police to white suburbs we would discover that there is just as much, if not more crime in those locations as there is in ‘communities of color’.

For possession of certain drugs, that is probably true.
Every pot dealer will tell you their best and biggest clients are white kids from the suburbs and almost nobody gets caught.
So, why haven’t we used that thing on George Soros yet?

"Communities of color" are over-policed? Is that why there's so much crime there? No. The police are assigned there because that's where a large percentage of the crimes are reported.
