Share your experience if you, a friend or a family member believes or once believed in a popular conspiracy theory.
Conspiracy theories have become an increasingly common problem in the United States. From the QAnon movement to misinformation about Covid-19 vaccines, many Americans have accepted ideas that are not backed by science or fact.
We’re interested in speaking to people who at one point believed in conspiracy theories and other kinds of disinformation but have since reconsidered their views, as well as with people who currently hold those views. If you, a friend or a family member believes or once believed in a conspiracy theory, were part of the QAnon movement or joined an online community that shared misinformation, we’d like to hear from you.
Your experiences will help us understand conspiracy theories in the United States and how they spread and find new members. If you share your contact information, we may get in touch with you to learn more about your experience.
We will not publish your name with your submission without getting your consent.

Here ya go NYTs....There has been a guy on the radio for about 20 years....I think his name is Alex Jones. All the stuff he talks about is wild conspiracy theories! He’s been right about 95% of the time. Probably want to pass his name on to the deep state....Oh....they already know about him? Ya don’t say....

The publisher of the New York Times receives weekly payments deposited by the DNC into his personal Panama City brokerage account.
Fearing for his life, the man never leaves home absent two heavily armed body guards. His assassination has been thwarted on seven occasions by a series of surviving body guards

FACT, dismissed as conspiracy; Walter Duranty was a New York Times reporter, who as a paid-for Soviet propagandist, covered up Stalin’s crimes.

If Armand Hammer’s brother was to be believed, Duranty was compromised and blackmailed by the Soviets as well.

I used to believe that liberal Democrats actually cared about the working man and people of color, and now I realize they are just cons working their marks. Does that count?

Yup. Have nothing to do with this.

I learned that Julius Ceasar was murdered due to a conspiracy. That's what the history books report, and some guy named Shakespeare wrote a play about it. I believe that President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated because of a conspiracy and insurrection. The U.S. Army found that there was a conspiracy to kill the president and tried, convicted and hung a number of people. I believe that Adolf Hitler engaged in a conspiracy to burn the German Reichstag, and he then conspired with Josef Stalin to carve up Eastern and Central Europe and started WwII. The history books agree that this happened. Like most Americans, I don't believe that a man named Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone and assassinated President Kennedy.
So, I guess someone will be reporting me for such things. I don't consider people who don't believe that conspiracies happen to be intelligent people, just sheep. When something strange happens, always ask qui bono? Occam's Razor holds the the simplest explanation for things is usually the best explanation.

I know of several lefties who are convinced to the point of insanity that the right is trying to impose a theocratic state on America.
Oh, wait, didn’t the NYT publish something like that in the past?

Making a list and checking it twice. No thanks.
To: Theoria
NYT wants you to just talk to them. Tell them about your family, friends and neighbors and anyone who had a thought something may have been a conspiracy.
It is all in good fun. We just want to study this phenomena that people may believe something other than the official narrative. It is all so silly, so send your stories okay? /s

Like the Russian collusion conspiracy?
Like the ivermectin conspiracy?
Like the voter fraud conspiracy?
Like Biden stopping the USA from using oil through law and regulation?
Like the baby formula conspiracy?
Like the transitory inflation conspiracy?

Peak oil was a good one until PDJT proved that wrong.
The magical switch where all the slavery loving southern Democrats became Republicans. Dr. Carol Swain on PraegerU destroys that one.
