If Jake from State Farm should call...

State Farm learns the wokey lesson.

A hundred years ago George Mecherle perceived his neighbors in rural Illinois were paying too much for insurance, so he started a company to sell car insurance to farmers. An early innovation of his was offering better rates for those who didn’t drink and drive. Today his company, State Farm Mutual Insurance Company, is the largest property and casualty insurer in the U.S with 57,000 employees. But I expect George, were he still alive, might be frowning at State Farm’s woke management team shooting themselves in the corporate foot last week.

Today State Farm generates close to eighty billion dollars in annual revenues, thanks to its 18,000 captive agents, who can sell only State Farm products. Recently State Farm felt moved to enhance its diversity and inclusion image, by enlisting their captive agents in distributing free books for young children to local schools and libraries.

There does appear to be a low level of children’s literacy in this country, especially in some minority communities. So, did State Farm include these popular children’s books of 2021?

Above the Rim: How Elgin Baylor Changed Basketball. Becoming Muhammad Ali. All Thirteen: The Incredible Cave Rescue of the Thai Boys’ Soccer Team. No! Instead, State Farm opted to donate books regarding transgenderism and gender fluidity to encourage what State Farm described as “challenging, empowering, and important conversations” with children as young as age five. These books included:

A Kids Book About Being Transgender. A Kids Book About Being Non-Binary. In both books children who claim to be transgender use a variety of pronouns to identify themselves and allege that their gender is what they say it is. As one transgender youth in A Kids Book About Being Non-Binary

The spirit of antichrist is working overtime lately, it seems.

These people think they’re on to something new and cool when in fact it’s a very, very old lie of the Devil.

“A hundred years ago George Mecherle perceived his neighbors in rural Illinois were paying too much for insurance, so he started a company to sell car insurance to farmers. “

Today, George’s Great Grandson Tom does not like the way his Grand Fathers Insurance has gone woke and have unaffordable prices. Tom decides to start his own Insurance company. Tom quickly finds out he is not able to start a new insurance company.

This is due to State and Federal regulations put in place by politicians funded by bigger Insurance companies to keep new companies from starting up. Big governments don’t like new start up business unless they are woke.

It’s funny, but just as this news was hittIng the fan, I got a call from my SF agent’s office wanting to schedule an annual policy review. I was in Lowe’s at the time and didn’t want to unload on the poor girl that was trying to schedule the appt (at least, I think it was a girl). I was livid, of course, and just didn’t want to make an ass out of myself in Lowe’s. In a cold, unfriendly tone, I told her I’d let her know, and ended the conversation.

I think it’s time to make that appt.

"Within a few hours after the book distribution scheme was leaked, apparently by a State Farm employee, their captive agents heard from hundreds of customers, who either threatened to cancel their State Farm policies or who did cancel their policies."

"After the State Farm CEO reportedly was contacted by more than 2,000 irate State Farm agents, the company announced that it would be suspending its plan to distribute the offending books."

""We no longer support the program allowing for distribution of books in schools," a State Farm spokesperson said. "We will continue to explore how we can support organizations that provide tools and resources that align with our commitment to diversity and inclusion. ""

___________

Not good enough.

People need to be fired over this and State Farm needs to donate $1,000,000 to a Christian Charity like Samaritan’s Purse.

Otherwise, they’ll continue to do it and just not talk about it.

Progressive is too progressive. Joseph Lewis, the guy that owns it, is a big time Dem contributor. I expect Flo to come out with her own set of pronouns.

In other words, we will look for other ways to force that garbage on your children. and next time hopefully you won't figure it out.

So they’ll just be sneakier about it next time.

Got it.

I doubt the “shot themselves in the foot”. I’d leave them but this, like everything else egregious, will just fade away.

Insurance companies will be the next industry ruined by the woke embrace.

If a client who IS a man, but “identifying” as woman is embraced as a legitimate business practice, why shouldn’t that “woman” be entitled to female rates on life and auto insurance?

Dropped SF years ago. We had everything with them including some business insurance. Had been with them for 15 years without a claim. Had some water damage at our house and called our agent. He told us it wasn’t covered. We dropped them and moved to Nationwide. The regional manager from SF called and offered to take us to dinner if we’d sign back up. I said we’d consider it if they’d pay our claim. He said he couldn’t do that, so we said adios amigos.

When ever I see the State Farm commercial with the friends BBQ in the back yard and the Korean (?) looking woman says “blink twice if you are in danger” I can’t help but think of the sailors on the USS Pueblo.
