Is Woke Corporatism Peaking?

Over the past decade or so, corporate America has incessantly barraged an annoyed citizenry with the preachiness, the condescension, and the weaponized guilt that form the basis of woke ideology. Spineless corporate boards, bending to the will of numerically insignificant but deafeningly shrill fanatics, have bent over backward to cleanse their products and their organizations of supposed bigotries which, upon examination, would be determined to be decidedly unbigoted by any rational being. As such:

-Uncle Ben's Rice removed its mascot and rebranded itself Ben's Original. Likewise, Aunt Jemima's Syrup removed its mascot and rebranded itself as Pearl Milling Company.

-The slave labor profiteer Nike chose to brand Colin Kaepernick, the world's wealthiest benchwarmer, as a victim of racism who "sacrificed everything". American Airlines, which requires every one of its fliers to show identification, bemoaned Georgia's voting ID laws for requiring exactly the same thing.

-Starbucks launched an initiative, "Race Together", (yanked a week later due to an entirely predictable cascade of negative publicity) directing its employees to "promote discussions on racial issues" with customers.

-The sports website Deadspin unilaterally decided that whites who watch basketball are racist. Over at ESPN, actual racists such as Stephen Smith and Rod Gilmore spew their hate with impunity.

-EBay banned Dr. Suess books from sale. Amazon pulls books from its digital shelves that question woke ideology.

-Coca-Cola, American Express, Pfizer, Bank of America, and other corporations force their employees to attend seminars and workshops where they are admonished to "be less white" and to focus on "the equality of outcome".

But is woke corporatism reaching a crossroads? The tale of two companies, Disney and Netflix, may provide some insight.

‘Woke Corporatism’ isn’t peaking, the whole ‘woke’ fantasy has crashed. It’s now facing the harsh world of reality. ‘Woke’ is simply a dream of the liberal bubble and it isn’t acceptable to the vast bulk of the unwashed masses of the real world.

I work for a hospital system - we have 14 hospitals - about 28,000 employees.
We hired a Chief Diversity Officer, we redirected a portion of our investments to lower yielding socially aware funds, we have targets for the number of minorities in senior management- and it goes on.
I stopped giving them money - no more contributions from my paycheck for a company that’s wasting money.

These useless positions were created after liberals demanded that corporations have a "boardroom that looks like America". That's why these "CIOs" are all minority females.

They bring nothing to the bottom line, know nothing about running a business or generating a profit, and have nothing to do except enforce woke diktats and come up with horrible ideas.

I worked for General Dynamics. They hired all sorts of woke HR people and sprinkled diversity people everywhere. My final three or four years there made me feel like I was in the old Soviet Union. You’d see people down the hall having a conversation and they’d both look around to be certain nobody could overhear. That’s because an uninvolved third person who overheard something he considered racist, or sexist was defined as though you’d committed racism or sexism and they were happy to fire you to prove how virtuous they were. I was victimized by this, and I was saved by a happy confluence of events; the HR manager was pissed as only he was supposed to be able to fire someone, and I wrote the corporate legal department explaining how they would be increasing GD’s legal exposure to suit. My final few years there, I never spoke to anyone I didn’t already know, or, if I did, I made certain to have a witness.
They hired an actual dyed-in-the-wool communist to teach us diversity. They hired a bunch of horrible people who wrote communist style newsletters that were literally indistinguishable from Soviet era propaganda. (Wall poster, “Strength and joy through diversity.”) All of this severely damaged the business we were supposed to be conducting. Oh, they sent around an “anonymous” survey. Then, a manager came around to find out why we hadn’t returned our “anonymous” surveys. Somebody asked, “you don’t know what anonymous means, do you.” Yeah, I’m certain we all filled that out honestly. I know I lied. But all this wokeness was actually in their contracts. It generated a lot of consultancy contracts all of which got paid for by the government contracts...so, corruption as I’m sure those consultancies funneled money back to the “congresspersons.” Okay, I have to stop as I’m getting ill.

All of this Woke stuff is a product of Obama. It started with him and his goon squads at the State Department. I would proffer, that the US State Department is THE most partisan leftwing Marxist agency, going back decades, and staffed with mostly hardcore Louis Farrakhan and Malcom X types who hate America (or I should say, “White America” to be precise).

There is a definite agenda and end goal. Now Obama and his minions are using Biden to carry out the last phase of the destruction of the USA. Washington DC is the mecca of “Black Liberation” ideology. It is not a coincidence that the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, DHS all consider white males as the greatest threat to the country. They don’t want to look in the mirror.

A collapse, destruction and pain is definitely coming. But not in the way they planned. Look for a catastrophic event to happen in September of early October. This will be the sign that they know their days on this earth are soon to expire.

As I said on a similar thread yesterday...

I recently kicked dollar shave club to the curb after many years of being a customer....I discovered they donate heavily to blm.

In an online exit survey they asked me why I was dumping ‘em....my answer was what I just stated and “get woke go broke”.

That’s what makes a capitalist society so great.....OPTIONS

Also, do a little research on how many companies are under the Disney umbrella....probably more than you think

Vote with your wallet people.

It hasn't peaked. It's consolidating gains and setting up for the next push.

Next steps include social credit ratings for suppliers, employees and customers. They can't be obvious about things like basing salaries on woke principles, but they can change bonus structures, vendor and customer credits and so forth along those lines.

Working through institutions such as the Financial Standards Accounting Board, marxist wokists will seek to redefine terms like profit/net income to include some sort of social score that will disguise losses (i.e. payoffs to favored groups under ESG rubric) as profits. For example if a corp. pays $10 million to an enviro group as a carbon offset that will be redefined as "social profit" and the falsified figures will be cooked into earnings per share data.

That is true. We on the right are too willing to go along to get along. Maybe it’s a sign of lazyness, or a lack of commitment to our values.

The left is much more willing to constantly fight to impose its values on society. We on the other hand just keep taking what they dish out.

I guess things haven’t quite gotten miserable enough to get our asses off our couches and fight back. Thing is when they do get to that point, it may be too late to turn things around.
