In a pointed letter to teams last week, Major League Baseball said numerous clubs' stadiums "fall embarrassingly below the high standards" necessary for women who are part of the game's traveling parties to do their jobs, create an "untenable working environment" and that organizations soon must reconfigure their facilities to fix what the league deemed "unacceptable," according to a copy of the memo obtained by ESPN on Thursday.
The letter, sent May 20 by MLB senior vice president of on-field operations Michael Hill to general managers, assistant general managers and some ballpark-operations staff, highlighted the issues a wide array of women -- including coaches, trainers, analysts, translators, mental-health professionals, massage therapists, player-development employees and others -- face because of substandard facilities. MLB regulations laid out in a March 16, 2021, memo require that women staffers for home and road teams receive a clean locker room space that is close to the main clubhouse, is private and includes a restroom and shower.

“senior vice president of on-field operations Michael Hill” is a junior dunce. Top down edicts from the highest floor does not work in American.
I’d like to joke that I have some vague memories about major league baseball. You know, distant memories about a team such as the Cleveland Indians.
Which reminds me, will they be going back and changing all those Bob Uecker “Major League” movies to change the name of the Indians in the movies too?
The thing is, why do people still pay attention to professional spectator sports? The people running these sports don’t like you, or like your country and they don’t care about you or your country, either.
They need more spittoons for the tobacco.
Wow; Baseball Annie has found a lot of new part-time jobs. And why isn't there a WMLB?
Maybe the girls should just stay out of men’s activities.

Joetato Biden is making our ELEMENTARY school kids use a single restroom without doors on the stalls. Why should the MLB Birthing Persons get any special treatment?
This needs to get to SCOTUS ASAP so they can decide what a woman is.
I interned in 1976 for a radio station, the same year MLB mandated women could access their locker rooms. In front of every locker, the team had installed a shower curtain which wrapped around the front of the locker stall so the player could have privacy to dress and undress. I was having an interview with a player when he motioned to me to get a little closer to him. In one whoosh, he had slid the shower curtain around the two of us. As he did this, he said “Step into my office”. It broke my concentration but he went right ahead with the interview.
I like the way the NCAA has it where there is a large interview room where the coach and key players are paraded out for the entire group of reporters. It’s completely gender-fair and allows the players to shower and dress without prying eyes from the media. Women complained that they could miss out on locker room tension if confined to an interview room but, you know what?, the media is not entitled to everything said in a dressing room - men’s or women’s.
