A shocker. Ray Liotta, the terrific actor whose career breakout came in the Martin Scorsese crime classic Goodfellas, has died. Deadline hears he died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic, where he was shooting the film Dangerous Waters. We will have more details when they become available.
Liotta was 67 years old and leaves behind a daughter, Karsen. He was engaged to be married to Jacy Nittolo.

Wow, shocker indeed. I know everyone loved his performance in Goodfellas but he was really good in a little film called Dominick and Eugene with Tom Hulce. Really showed his acting chops in that.
RIP

Saw him most recently in the Sopranos prequel movie - Liotta was one of the few good things about that movie. RIP.

He didn’t sound so good in that commercial for a cigarette smoking cessation product. RIP Ray.

Oh yes, the many angels of Newark. Agree, was a terrible movie overall but Liotta was decent.

I always thought Liotta would have made a great Batman villian.

Yes he was though I’d argue DB Sweeney was much better as Joe in Eight Men Out vs. Ray in Field of Dreams. At least DB batted lefty.

horrible movie????????
lol, Good Fellas is my favorite movie. I actually watched it this past Sunday when I was down with COVID.
I can tell you first hand, as a full-bred Italian from the northeast.... scorsese nailed every detail.
Granted I can’t stand DeNiro and his politics but he and Pesci were stellar in that movie.

Liotta was in an engaging film > Identity. Sort of a twisted version of Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians.

Made bad cops look more than bad in Shades Of Blue on TV.
Still enjoyed watching him in whatever I caught him working in.
