The conclusion of the US congressional hearing [last week] on UAPs, formerly known as UFOs, is an opportunity to take stock of where matters stand on a question that has captivated humankind for centuries: Have we been visited by aliens...?
There do seem to be vehicles (“phenomena”?) going many times faster than US military craft, stopping and turning on a dime, showing no visible signs of propulsion and operating in ways that appear to violate standard understandings of aerodynamics.
The evidence is from multiple sensor sources, including photography, and supported by numerous eyewitness accounts. The US government is coy on its other sources of sensor measurements, but has stated that the same technology that is detecting UAPs is also used for routine intelligence purposes.
It now seems unlikely that the recordings are picking up secret high-powered experimental craft of the Russian air force. Just ask Ukraine. And given that the Nimitz recording and sighting dates back to 2004, should we really think they are advanced Chinese vehicles? Although the US military has had increasingly frequent interactions and near misses with Chinese military vehicles in the South China Sea, they don’t seem anything like the UAP reports (many of which are based in the Atlantic).
Another common hypothesis has been that the recordings are picking up a secret advanced vehicle from some other hitherto unknown part of the US government. If so, again, why hold these hearings in the first place? If the secret branch has the resources to produce such aircraft, wouldn’t someone have stepped forward by now? Wouldn’t it be at least an active rumor? Or couldn’t someone in the secret operations branch call up a friendly senator or two to get the hearings called off? In fact, last week’s congressional hearing rejected this explanation outright.

Slim and none, and slim left town.
Agreed, yet someone was hovering a drone the other night, a bit weird.
100 percent but they aren't the type the assorted Carl Sagan's want us to believe they are.
You know this is psyops when WP is involved.
Seems a big waste of time energy and resources to come all this way to do analprobes, slice and dice cows, and buzzbomb Navy flyboys.
Any race of beings that has the technology to make the trip across light years of space would be so far advanced from us that what happened to the native Americans when the much more technically advanced Europeans arrived would look more like what happens when humans deal with lower primates or worse.
They probably have. But we have proof they’re smarter than us: They left and haven’t returned.
It is also hard to believe this is all an elaborate US “psy op” against the Russians or Chinese [or even the U.S. public]. For the US to admit so brazenly that it doesn’t know what’s going on in its own backyard hardly seems calculated to scare or intimidate.
I used to be entirely dismissive of alien visitation claims. Now I’m not sure.
If it were just camera tricks, light doing funny things in the atmosphere etc, why have these phenomena been detected by radar and other highly advanced censors the military has?
These accounts cannot be dismissed as drunken idiots out in the woods either. There are several eyewitness accounts from pilots and other on duty military personnel who are not cranks or under the influence of drugs, booze, etc.
There is a lot we simply don’t know. I wish we had more information but as of right now, we do not. I’m not sure what to think about this.
The author is operating under the misapprehension that the US government holds hearings to actually 'clarify' a subject. Hah!
Cow: Moo moo? (Why did you turn some of us inside out?)
Visitor: Moo moo, moo. Moo. (Oh, that was Carl's fault. He's new.)
Visitor Carl: Moo...moo...moo moo. (Yeah, sorry about that. My bad!)
Former DOD folks who expound on this matter have been dismissing the idea that these beings (whatever they are) have traveled across the vastness of space.
There's even been a lot of talk that they've been here (on earth, in our reality) all along.
AOC supports the
Bug eyed horse faced creatures theory .
If we did get visited by aliens, my bet is they looked at this planet and thought “Oh my God, these people are a complete shitshow!” then turned-around and left.
Too many indications from existing ancient evidences. imho.
If there are ET visitors, its more comparable to us visiting a zoo.
They’d be that much more advanced.
I'd check out the State Department East European section if I were you, and report back on what you find.
