This is the shocking moment a United Airlines worker hits a passenger at the check-in desk before he is punched to the ground in a vicious brawl, leaving his face covered in blood.
Footage shared online shows the employee and the holidaymaker trading punches in the ugly fight in front of horrified tourists at Newark Airport.
The man in the black sweatshirt had approached the check-in desk pushing his luggage in a wheelchair.
The uniformed United employee then confronted him over his use of the wheelchair, which quickly descended into a physical fight.
Footage being shared does not show the start of the altercation but it does show the employee striking the passenger in the face.

right, i try to look up the handicapped rule here in virginia, and it is only for people who can’t walk and/or have heart conditions. other types of ‘handicapped’ does not count.

He had to defend himself when hit, but when they separated, he probably should have backed away and called the police or whatever, wimpy though it sounds. It doesn’t say anything about the employee being in trouble with the airline and I hope he isn’t.

It appears the NFL guy definitely punched first (several times) and the employee ended up defending himself. After getting knocked down several times, the employee still managed to get himself up and back in his face until it was broken up by others.
Everybody should see that video you just posted.
I did specify we are only looking at the piece of video they supplied at the link. One has to ask...why truncate it and isolate just the employee hitting the customer?
When I read the story after the video, it said the police removed the non-employee, and that made me think there was more to it.

Langley’s a 28 y/o 6’1” 200 CB who now plays in the CFL. Played 16 games in the NFL. And yep, he started the fight, not surprisingly.
Airline employee showed some mettle. Hope he gets his job back.
I know a guy with one arm and he too doesn’t take advantage of it. Well, not TOO much.
He just got a big new camping trailer and went to a Federal Park to break it in.
Pulls up and said something like “I’d like the one-night for $35, we just want to test out the new camper for the night.”
“Yes sir. Would you like to purchase the annual park pass? Good at any Federal park.”
“Um - not at this time.”
“Well sir, seeing as you are handicapped, you can get an annual pass for $10.”
He took it! (It might have even been free, I don’t recall exactly).

If you watch the very beginning of the video carefully the employee hits the guy first. That doesn’t prove who hit who first in the actual encounter.
Wow. He was selected in the 3rd round of the 2017 NFL draft and got a $3 million contract. He now plays in the CFL. I guess he couldn’t afford to pay for a luggage carrier or maybe too much steroids. Professional player attacking short chunky guy.

Is the (former) employee a white man? From the video it’s not clear—he could be Hispanic. But maybe he will be considered a “white Hispanic” for the purposes of this incident.
