Cost was $0 with insurance at Walgreens.

If you are one of those people who are afraid of vaccines, don't attack here, just move on to next thread.

Got mine last year, no issues. Current all all but the experimental Covid vaccines. Seems we have to spell out to folks that we’re not anti-vaxx.

After many in my family got horrible cases of shingle outbreaks I got my vaccine at the age of 55. At that time insurance wouldn’t cover it until age 60. So I gladly paid the $600 for the shots.

I think the shingles vaccine works more like a traditional vaccine where it prevents you from contracting the illness as opposed to modern vaccines that make you increasingly likely to contract the illness multiple times in the future

“If you are one of those people who are afraid of vaccines, don’t attack here”

How about if we are hostile to vaccines?

It is typical of Big Pharma/Big Government propaganda to talk about people who are afraid of vaccines or are hesitant to get vaccines when in fact many of us are sick and tired of the lies and propaganda and brainwashing and mandates and are not going to take it any more.

I got the first shot and two months later before the second I got shingles. Luckily it wasn’t very painful, just itchy, probably because I had the shot. My wife had a very painful episode on her back and so did a former boss. I had a ring around my neck like a pheasant. My doctor was fascinated that I got it after the first shot.

I had shingles about a year ago, after the vax. I found out all the vax does is lessen the symptoms. Even with that, it was not fun. I had nerve damage from my forehead to the top of my scalp, and some of it got into my left eye. I’m still seeing an eye doctor over that.

I did the two shots last year. My wife has had Shingles a couple of times. I had chicken pox as a kid, and did not want to get Shingles. After the second shot, I had one of those “mini flu-like” episodes, waking up in the night with body aches and chills. I took a sick day the next day and got over it as the day progressed.

Do not do it!!

i have have been living with a severe reaction to the shingles vaccine that I would not wish on anyone. Get red streaks anywhere on my body followed by hives, horrible itching and then bruising.

Shingles wasn't fun but it only lasted for 2 weeks. I've been in the reaction hell for over 5 years,

Fid it the hard way in 2019. Came down with singles before Thanksgiving and didn’t shake it completely until the next February. For me it was like having a bad case of the flu AND a bad sunburn AND rash all at the same time.

Got the shingrix vax asap after all that.
I wouldn’t wish that crap on anyone.

For anyone considering it, it’s 97% effective for at least 4 years.....no covid shot can tout those numbers.

My side effects were feeling a little under the weather for 24 hours after injection.

I recommend it...and not just for those 50+ either. Cant get it before that is a myth IMO.
