I think it was a better place when there was no technology as we understand it today. I remember as a kid my dad always made sure I had a couple of dimes in my pocket in case I had to call home. Maybe Archie Bunker was right.
I don’t do social media. haven’t been that much interested. So how does this work? Is this for the home computer or is there a phone app?
Despite repeated efforts, I continue to have problems creating an account. There is always some ‘glitch’ that prevents me from setting up an account. Very, very frustrating. This is on the App. But it sounds like you were able to log on on a website. I will try that.
Thanks but if Trump’s passing on Twitter, I will pass on Truth. I may join Twitter after Elon takes over.
Everyone can get in?
Not quite.
Try picking a user name that hasn’t “already been taken”.
Forget about any cogent name, type in any amount of gibberish and you’ll find that apparently someone wanted that as their username and got it first.
Search Truth Social for the hashtag #Freepers to find some other Freepers, and tag a post with #Freepers so they can find you. (I;m @F111_John on Truth Social)
Kinda like what used to happen with Drudge.
me too!
Is there any activity though? I’ve been on for a while, but really don’t see much going on except for posts from Dan Bongino, Donald Trump Jr. and Catturd.
I just joined too!
My handle there is @SamAdams76 and I'll follow any Freeper back. Even those that annoy me from time to time!
Enter your phone number... um, no thanks.
I finally got in. This was my 4th attempt at getting in. Of course, “Kevmo” was already taken. So I signed up as KevmoReal.

I got on Truth Social just to support President Trump, but I must say is weird and random - not my cup of tea.
Full disclosure, I was never on Twitter, so I don’t have any point of reference.
Here’s what I’ve experienced, in a nut shell…
I log in.
I click on Donald Trump, who is the only person I’m following.
I look at his recent truths or re-truths.
If he’s saying something I like, which is almost always, I’ll hit the heart icon.
Here’s where my Truth experience it starts to go down hill:
I read a few comments - and although there are some positive ones, there are also a lot of negative - even vile comments. Trolls, I assume.
Then there starts to be these back and forth flame wars.
And here’s the thing. Unlike FR, where a lot of the names are familiar - these people seem so random. I quickly get bored or turned off..
I don’t think I’ve lasted more than a few minutes on Truth social before moving on to something else.
Perhaps it is the same on Twitter and I just set my expectations too high for Truth Social. It just doesn’t feel like a community.
What does everyone else think?
So, it’s not iPhone only still?
Are you saying
ANDROID phones
are Working now???
G
No interest in joining a social thingamajigy when the CEO of the parent company is also the CEO of a mainland Chinese company which, like all Chinese companies these days, is managed by the CCP.
I checked the website in the wee hours of this morning, before heading to bed. It still showed you had to download the phone app. It still showed the photo of the cell phone on the home page, no option to register. I see the page now gives you the option to create an account, but did you also have to download an app to your computer? If so, I’m not really willing to do that. I’m not a social media person to begin with. Never did Twitter, Facebook, etc. Tried Parler, Gab and Gettr, but deleted them earlier this year when Trump announced Truth Social. Still not sure I want to join. I don’t actually find anything redeeming about social media sites. FR offers all the socializing I care to do. I’d rather be reading a book, or doing something else. Any time I waste going through repetitive crap on a social media site is time I’ll never get back in my life.
I do not have iPhone so I can’t get in.
