Ukraine's armed forces released a video on Sunday (May 15) saying it said showed servicemen firing new U.S. M-777 howitzers at the front line in the east of the country.

The video showed its soldiers firing an artillery gun. Reuters could not independently verify the video.

The U.S. embassy in Kyiv said on Sunday that Washington has delivered all but one of the 90 artillery pieces they were due to send.

The M-777 howitzer consignment is part of a huge outlay of weapons from Washington to help Ukraine fend off Russia's invasion, which began on Feb. 24.

The M-777 is seen as particularly significant because of its long range and accuracy….

#20. Got over 40 years in artillery!

Since you have the experience, what is your professional opinion of how well the Ukrainian artillery is working? Ukraine is trying to make everything they do look good for the cameras as information warfare. It still looks like their artillery really is performing somewhere between extremely and insanely well.

Given that all we see are the videos they send us, it's a fair bet that they're only sending the best of their fire missions for our view.

The best proof that the Ukrainians are using their artillery well is that the Russians have had to scale back their objectives even then, they're getting clobbered at the river crossings. That kind of performance is never luck: it takes good planning: getting the right numbers of firing units within range and getting their food, fuel, and ammo right there with them - and having your weather and registration data up to date - and good, precise spotting for the targets.

On the other side, the Russians have the numbers and have flailed away at cities (!) well enough but seem to be unable to master the planning outlined above for fast, accurate, and devastating fires.

And all you're doing is parroting Russian propaganda, word for word. The "Donets and Luhansk People's Republics" are rebels against the legitimate government of Ukraine - until now, sustained in arms by Russia. That's how a Russian antiaircraft unit destroyed a Dutch airliner and murdered a couple of hundred civilian tourists (and then kept the Dutch investigators away and then refused to hand over the murderers).

The "Russian separatists" in Donets and Luhansk got there as replacements during Stalin's bestial mass murder of the former Ukrainian occupants during the Homolodor. Talk about Nazis! How do you beat starving 9 million or so Ukrainians to death for pure inhumanity?

Russia isn't "freeing" anybody - it's a territory and resource grab to finish the job that Stalin started - and you know it, Comrade.
