Many House GOPers voted the other night to send $40 billion worth of "aid" to Ukraine.
I haven't checked but I'm guessing this was a supplemental which means that nothing was cut and this is extra borrowed money.
Surely this undermines the party's message on financial prudence and of the inflation problem as they have effectively voted to make it worse!
I presume this will have enough votes in the Senate and they will get their way.
My question is to conservatives who believe in America First where do we go from here?
It's very hard to just primary dozens & dozens of House Republicans and they know this…
Actually, the vote in the Senate will be interesting to watch but I guess the usual suspects will push it through.
I just hope there are consequences this time.
(By this Fall)
Just in time for the midterms, if September or October. /shiny side out
And to add insult to injury, guess who is going to have to pay to rebuild Ukraine when the was is over?
You and me.

Yeah, I think they are trying to hold it together, move the bulk of the suffering to post election and 2023, but the policy of managing the decline of our standard of living has gotten out of hand. Putin knew that would happen.
DC private school scum like excitement... handing out billions of OUR dollars is a thrill for the lowlifes. Just ask Hunter... giving money today brings kickbacks and ‘$60,000 a month jobs.
Well, was wondering when we’d hear from the FL war hawks in this.
Why stop at $40 Billion (for the next 5 months)? Why not $50? $60?
(it’s only money, right?)
What’s that - a cool $80 Billion for this year? (not indexed to inflation of course) - and yes, already included what we already gave them.
Without getting snarky, is there a certain dollar amount when some of you folks may say, “Hey, shouldn’t we use some of that borrowed cash to pay for OUR OWN BORDER SECURITY” ?
Asking for a friend - about 330 million of them (most even speak my language).
jimjohn - OUT
The USA budget in 2020 was $ 4 trillion. $ 40 billion is 1%
We sabotage what we can.
That must have been the movie “Funny Games” and yes, it was horrific
I don't know about you, but I went Galt, so to speak.
By "going Galt," I mean I left. Note that I intended to retire overseas for the past 10 years so it wasn't a matter of running away with my hair on fire because of this crap. But, with everything going on these days. I'm thrilled with that plan made long ago 👍.
But what about family? I have plenty of room for my kids to join me and stay with me until they can get set up.
Inflation vs Conflagration. Which do you choose?
Ukraine is buying NATO and Russian politics time.
What’s the cost of Russia attacking a NATO member (Poland is next)?
That’s the offset. We do need a Calvin Coolidge, but we also have to deal with the reality. Russia thinks it needs defensible borders, and they’re probably right. But we also will pay dearly buy turning our backs on Europe. Fighting Russia via Ukraine sucks for Ukraine, but better their blood and our treasure then all off our blood and treasure.
FL Hawk?....nope
The “aid” never makes it to the battlefield much less to “help” the people.
You must have stock in Lockheed
Games people play, you take it or you leave it
Things that they say are not right
The democrats are facing huge voter backlash.
I look for something significant before the midterms.
Hope I’m wrong. Just trying to survive out here.
At this point we are so far gone only God can save us. There would need to be massive revival and turning back to Him.
You argue like a leftist. Assuming some agenda that doesn’t exist.
My question is to conservatives who believe in America First where do we go from here?
***I’m an AmericaFirst conservative and so is Trump, both of us agree we should be supporting the Ukraine with lots of aid. It is in our best interest to get nuclear nonproliferation correct, which is why we signed the document assuring Ukraine’s borders & sovereignty in exchange for nukes; and so did Russia. It was the right thing to do at the time and now the right thing to do is to support them because they’ve been invaded twice. The Ukes never woulda been invaded if they had kept those nukes.
