"I find your ignorance of the history of previous proxy wars appalling."

You're obviously a shallow thinker because you makes statements without any reference to history or facts. The French monarchy's first involvements in the Revolutionary War was a "proxy war" and remained so for most of the Revolutionary War and then they got directly involved.

The Vietnam War started as a proxy war and ended up killing 50,000 American boys and the domestic backlash here at home resulted in the cultural revolution that we are living under now, explain that away.

Levin was an original never-Trumper and I quit listening to him for years. This time it is permanent.

I quit listening to Mark's Talk Primal Scream Show years ago as well.

Our policy on the Russian invasion and the war in Europe is not attached to every other issue facing the United States.

Exactly - I haven't understood that line of argumentation from the start. The most common version of it I see is that we should use the money we're spending to defend Ukraine to defend our own borders. But the one has absolutely nothing to do with the other.

The the reason the border wall isn't being built has nothing to do with the lack of money, but rather current administration's deliberate strategy to not secure the border. They wouldn't build the wall even if it was completely free.

From a purely financial point of view, the amount of money we're spending to help Ukraine bleed the Russian military is an incredible return on investment. It essentially will let us concentrate a much higher percentage of our military spending on countering China because an emasculated Russia will be much less of a potential threat in Europe.

I think you are correct but I also think Russian Propaganda also contributes.

Interestingly Levin has written numerous books about America.

He’s authored Constitutional articles and books.

But never and not one book regarding Judaism or Israel.

Yet we see “Jewish” as the fall back argument.

same here. He STILL is a Never Trumper. You can sense it in his podcast and downplays it for people stupid enough to think he changed his backstabbing RINO ways.

Mark’s ‘problems’ are not MY problems. I won’t countenance nuclear war over some country no one gave a crap about two years ago (even NATO who has strung them along since 2008 over full membership). As Biden said about his disastrous masterful handling over Afghanistan surrender and hasty retreat, “you can’t expect America to be the world’s policeman anymore.”

Europe is taking the lead

Europe isn't funding this operation, except in the smallest way.

Large portions of NATO don't even fulfill their funding obligations.

The US is funding the lion's share.

The US is training Ukraine troops, sending weapons, flooding Finland with military equipment for war against Russia, Sending far more than the most recent 40 billion they are discussing.

This should all be on the backs of Europe - money, blood, lives.

Putin is a dictator.

Zelenski is as corrupt and as much a dictator.

The “chaos crowds” around here are the ones who want to start WWIII with Russia. NOT OUR PROBLEM.

This is politics.
Bob Dylan said and I don’t totally agree, you must pick one or the other although neither of them are to be what they claim.
Although, the powers that be do their best to make it seem like there only 2 choices in every situation.

America is not threatened and neither one of them are trustworthy.

This is really the heart of the matter.

What's happening in Ukraine is awful, and the Russians have no business invading that country. But, it's really not our problem, and with all we have going on here in America, we don't really need to take the problems of two countries who are basically both corrupt, and don't threaten our national security. (Well, they didn't affect us until we stuck our nose in it.)

The other thing that baffles me is that if you don't join the Ukraine cheerleading squad, that somehow make you a Putin supporter. As if neutrality simply isn't allowed.

You're obviously a shallow thinker because you makes statements without any reference to history or facts.

Modern history is replete with US-Russian proxy wars, without expanding into direct US-Russian conflicts. In fact in Korea, Russian pilots flew combat missions against US planes. In Vietnam, Russian crews manned anti-aircraft batteries, shooting down US pilots. I find it hilarious that you are forced to reference the US revolution as a proxy war that spirals out of control ignoring the many modern subsequent conflicts.

Also, I notice a complete lack of alternative solutions. It seems surrendering to Russian aggression is your automatic, fallback reaction.

“I did that a long time ago. Along with his Blood Brother Hannidity.”

Yup. And now with Linda, Mitch, Oz, etc.(neocons) are all on the same page, you know it’s the wrong page.

People learned NOTHING from Trump’s fantastic foreign policy.

MAGA—you either get it or don’t. Supplying foreign wars with free money (weapons, intel, etc.) is NOT MAGA.

Neither is expanding NATO. The commies here had a cow when Trump asked, “Why are we still in NATO?”

Remember MAGA? When wages rose higher than inflation? When inflation was way down around 2%? When 401k’s were growing fast? When food and gas were cheap??? When Trump didn’t demonize Russia or Putin? When Trump walked across the border of North Korea (!!!) to shake hands with Kim???

Peaceful, wealthy time. All of...700 days ago...

Gone. But chickenhawks didn’t get rich. And now they are. And their pansy chest beating “bomb them!!!” keyboard warriors didn’t have their proxy war to feel righteous. Because they are losers inside.

Levin does understand that the Ukranian people aren’t seeing a penny of the money that these traitors are sending over, right?
