For some areas it is just about over.
The regions taken over are starting to set up governmental agencies and embassies. I think it was the BBC who referred to one of them as a “republic” the other day. That was the Donbass area.
The Russians appear to be about to try and gain control over the Odessa region.

Ukrainians want weapons and are willing to fight and die for their freedom, so no American blood is needed. Our interest is to stop an enemy, Putin from re-constituting a Russian empire.
