Embarrassing: George W. Bush Calls President Zelenskyy the “Winston Churchill of Our Time

George W. Bush held a video call on Thursday. During the call, Bush called Ukrainian President Zelenskyy the “Winston Churchill of our times.”

What an embarrassment.

George W. Bush is famous for his trust in Putin, saying, “I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy and we had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul.”

Guess he was wrong about that, too?

Although I am not a fan of CIA Director George HW Bush, I think he was (somewhat) of an old school politician. Maybe.

We have had 30 years of remarkably bad presidents. Trump was an obvious exception, but the US government clearly opposed him and did not want us to have a good, patriotic president.

Something is seriously wrong with our political class.

As a deep-stater of the first order, I would have to refer to George W. Bush as the Vidkun Quisling of our time.

There was a time when I felt Bush deserved a modicum of respect. Then he referred to me and everyone who had similar thoughts as bloviators. George, we would invite you in, but no one wants you around.

Not as embarrassing as the people who think because Churchill had an American mother, he was a natural born citizen of the USA.
