Foreign-educated registered nurses welcomed to the U.S. in the first quarter of 2022 are beginning their employment in 31 states, according to a May 5 news release from healthcare staffing firm Health Carousel.
The nurses are working at U.S. healthcare facilities from Hawaii to Maine.
"It's such a joy to be a partner to someone in coming to America, supporting them as they begin employment, and watching them grow in their careers here," Katie Glaser, senior vice president of Health Carousel International, a division of Cincinnati-based Health Carousel, said in the release. "They also become an important part of the fabric of their new communities and advance in their careers into nursing leadership roles and nursing faculty, get involved in their local schools, volunteer opportunities and other community programs."
Health Carousel said the firm historically has assisted nurses and other healthcare professionals from the Philippines, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, India and other countries who want to practice in the U.S. This assistance is related to educational, clinical and immigration preparation, as well as study programs, testing and visa support.
wonder if they were required to get the experimental shots...
The COVID sccamdemic was all about a punishing Americans for exercising their freedom. Now they are replacing the fired workers who refused the clot shots with foreigners.
How about Ukraine ? Can we get some under 30 Ukrainian nurses ?
And for the regular American nurses who were fired, Katie? Carousel...
Which states? Let me guess.
Fed.gov itself is telling us that job-openings exceed job losses by 11.5 million

Meanwhile US labor participation rate is still at 45 year lows.

In sum, Americans are choosing not to work. Why aren’t Americans incentivized to become nurses? By what means are non-working Americans supported? And WTF do we need to import more nurses then?
Oh, great.
Trusting American lives with muslim nurses.
What could go wrong?
Know a couple of nurses from Canada that got crazy signup bonuses to do nursing in the US.
Good question. They probably screened them and only accepted those who were willing to get the jab.
Does this mean Biden can fire more American nurses?
My first thought: Medical mistakes will go through the roof.
Punishing nurses who won’t get the clot shot. I don’t want foreign nurses.
Second thought: Staying out of Big Med’s clutches is the best incentive to eat right and exercise.
At the hospital where my daughter is a Cardiology APRN, they can attract new grad RN's with bonus and wage packages. They can not retain them given they are actually expected to work.
They look like they’re competent and qualified. They don’t have the crazy leftist look.
I experienced a foreign nurse back in October while a patient at Banner-University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson. I had a female charge nurse from somewhere in East Africa on the night shift. (7PM-7Am). She was very nice, however there was one small problem. I could not understand a word she said and she had the same problem with me. It made it pretty damn hard to communicate.
Just one of the many reasons, I want no part of that particular hospita er Medical Center in the future.
“My first thought: Medical mistakes will go through the roof”.
It can’t get worse than it already is.
