At the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner Saturday night, comedian Trevor Noah pointed out Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the audience before attempting some humor at his expense. The only problem with this? That’s right — it’s fake news. Gov. DeSantis was not at the dinner.
Watch for yourself:
“There’s many big names here tonight. Yeah. One of my favorites, Rhonda Sanctus is here. Yeah, yeah. Oh, man. I’m actually surprised that he found the time. You know, he’s been so busy trying to outmaneuver Trump for 2024. I see you, Ron. I see you, player.”

His spox Christina Pushaw made clear that the governor was not in attendance:

They do this because they’re afraid of him:

We will point out that, somehow, Gov. DeSantis did end up in the program:

The other thing about this is that there really isn’t a joke behind Noah’s comments, only an accusation.
I guess your cancel proof when your a lib “comedian” and I use that word loosely.
Unfortunately people like Joe Rogan and Dave Chappelle aren’t afforded such latitude......and those two are way funnier than that little Canadian jackass.

No, there are no jokes on the left. Their attempts at humor are boringly snarky. I turned off late night television in 2015 because the shows were so unfunny and trite.
This event has long out-lived its relevance.
Once it was for news people.
Now, it’s all about TV and movie glitterati, and various big-shots who want to be “in.”
It effectively died a long while ago, it’s just too stupid to lie down and stop breathing.
Here’s my prediction: This last one, will turn out to be THE last one.

There were something like 3200 people there. Steve said he only saw 2 people wearing masks and they took them off once they were seated.
