Joe Biden delivered remarks in honor of 'long time friend', 'good man' and former Vice President Walter Frederick 'Fritz' Mondale on Sunday in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
'I served with Fritz a long time. He became a good and close friend,' the president said during his remarks at the Northrop Memorial Auditorium on the University of Minnesota's campus at the memorial service for Mondale, who served as President Jimmy Carter's No. 2 for his single term from 1977-1981.
'I was a kid when I got elected – I wasn't even old enough to be sworn in – I was 29-years-old,' Biden said in reflecting on his friendship with Mondale.
Mondale died in April of last year at the age of 93.
Speaking before Biden was Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as well as the state's two Democratic Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith – who, as part of her remarks, shared a eulogy from former President Carter and Bill Clinton.
Following Klobuchar's remarks, the resident took the stage. He was followed by Mondale's sons Theodore and William.
Biden called Mondale by his nickname 'Fritz' and called him 'one of the great giants in American history.'

Nice map. Canada and Greenland are not part of the USA or electorate.
Thanks for the comic relief. I had forgotten what an easy mark Mondale was. Only Biden could top Walter.

Thanks RACPE.
Before rigging went national
I didn't even notice. I might have seen the news, but somehow it didn't sink in. It probably didn't seem important.

Not impressed by the fake titles these sycophants give themselves ...
Biden could be considered nearly an expert when it comes to number twos...
Mondale would be to Conservative for today’s Democrats.
my old man called him gopher face, and Humphry cabbage head
Oh, for pity's sake. Biden's imaginative bloviating is so gassilly overblown, it's enough to give even the listener stretch marks.
