Your comment re. the Twitter purchase not being completed yet is on target and bears exploring some.

The purchase Offer submitted and accepted is probably a short form that is then expanded on into a final road map document. Due diligence is the purchaser's key focus at this time. There are off ramps where the the purchaser can exit the agreement. For example, I have read of one off ramp where Musk can simply walk away by paying a $1 billion cancellation fee. On the flip side, I imagine that Twitter would also have a contractual obligation to pay Musk some big $$$ if they were to walk away.

I think it likely that there would additional off ramps related to due diligence findings where Musk could walk away without penalty. I have not heard of any mention of this but it seems to me to be a probability. I think it will be after due diligence is completed before the final sales agreement is negotiated and implemented.

I've heard 6 months as a timeline for this sale to complete. It wouldn't surprise me if this purchase dragged into 2023.

The deal hasn’t been completed yet, and Musk has zero operational control as of now.

So A line good with this ?

(free speech didn’t last very long )

Musk doesn't own Twitter yet, but let's not let reality get in the way.

They will all be outed and exposed. When everybody knows who they are the shoe will be on another foot.

Given what the new onwer, Mr. Musk has said about supporting free speech on the platform... I’d expect who ever the Twitter employee is who decided to fly in the face of the new owner’s wishes... Well, this ban was probably his or her or whatever (’cause this sounds like something a gender-confused freak would do) letter of resignation.

Imagine the madness of surrendering the site to the Left.

You have to mix it up, or surrender.

Imagine the madness of participating on a website that claims to be non-partisan that bans users for their political views.

Fixed it.

Every platform has the same rule in their TOS.

Lindell should have been working on getting his original account reinstated instead of giving the leftie loons a legitimate reason for spiking him yet again.

They know their time is limited so they will do this kind of stuff with extra vengeance and malice.

That’s what demons do.

I think the phrase you want is “common carrier.”

Similar to Ma Bell or telegrams. The postal service. Utilities.

They can’t refuse service because they don’t like you.

Maybe, but the true value of the company should be reassessed at the conclusion of every work-day. If they are devaluing the company....his offer ought to shrink by some percentage.

There is nothing more he can do now, It will take 6 months before it goes through SEC, FTC scrutiny and Musk actually owns Twitter, IF it goes through and lefties are doing everything they can to stop it

Yup, and there are a bunch of simpletons who haven’t a clue how a business operates, and fail to realize that Musk hasn’t even met his staff yet, much less unpacked the algorithms.

I was watching the Nebraska rally yesterday on RSBN and they talked with Mike Lindell for a long time. I was doing other things and not hanging on every word but it may not have been intentional. Lindell said other people had put up FAKE accounts in his name and his real account might have been taken down with the fake ones. I think he said he contacted them and was trying to get it straight.

Anyone that wants to know exactly what he said can watch it.

So what’s the worst that can happen to the Wokster who pulled the twigger on Mike?

It wasn't a wokster, it was a program.

You don't think that someone sits at a keyboard and screen and watches who logs onto twatter?

Mike Lindell isn't a name, it is a series of numbers that have been banned.

Does this make me a hypocrite and someone holding double standards?

I think hypocrite is a little harsh, but probably you enjoy seeing liberals getting banned more than Trump de-platformed. :P

The problem with your argument is that Twitter is not a publicly owned space. I guess you could try to call it public because of the high number of users, but that's just wording. They are under no obligation to enforce the First Amendment any more than FR is.

Do we really want private companies to be tasked with sussing out what qualifies as free speech, and what should be disallowed, in order to stay in compliance with government requirements? That's the way socialist countries are run.

As a website owner, you decide how to moderate your content. And let's face it, there is no such thing as complete free speech. The exceptions start piling up pretty quick.

The fly in the ointment is that while not a public space, Twitter IS a public company.

What has Twitter been telling its shareholders...?
