When street fighting breaks out, not just in Kenosha, but in every little suburb and town, it will have been preceded by a long period of culture war. The hotspot now is sexual. Radical public school teachers have such complete control, that kids who have no inclination to go transsexual are being forced into it by peer pressure.
My 14 year old granddaughter doesn't want to be sexually active, it's what we would have called "nasty" to her. She's a statuesque little woman, she doesn't want to go into the chop shop.
But she's being persuaded, not by her peers, from an upper income area with family life that's relatively normal for these days.
It's the school counselors, who are overwhelmingly LGBTQ oriented, so much so that it's the new orthodoxy and any departure from it is a secular heresy.
My little woman has to go along with it because of social pressure. She doesn't want to hear any of that dissident talk about how harmful trans is, how many people come to regret it later in life.
Little woman has to consider herself "transitioning", even though she doesn't really even know what it means.
This is where the civil war is hot now.
Shooting breaking out in the streets, blood flowing in the gutters, is just an aftermath to this radical sexualism overturning society, so that each young adult only has loyalty to the Party.
I can't tie all these threads together. But if you were to read this again in 5 years, you would be able to fill in the gaps.

Home school is the answer. We made that move even though we’re in a conservative area.

I think you have a god given right to deal with those counselors as would have been done in America since the first people landed at Plymouth Rock and Jamestown.

I feel for you. That has to be a nightmare.
You have to investigate any private or parochial school before you take that step. Many of them have jumped on the Woke Wagon. Homeschooling is the best all around.

Homeschooling is not the answer because running away will only embolden the ghouls to outlaw homeschool and then where are you going to run to? The answer is to take back public school. I get so frustrated seeing alleged Conservatives continuously advocate for tucking the tail and running away. The left doesn’t run. The left is bold as they attack into Conservative enclaves and take over. Hollywood, Media, Universities, public schools, Boy Scouts, Law Enforcement, Military, New York, California etc. Now they are openly trying to abuse and sexually exploit children. Where are Conservative men? I see women fighting back. Very few men. The few men like Ben Shapiro and Charlie Kirk that are on the cultural battlefield are trashed by the anonymous majority that sit on their ass and do nothing

I have two “transgender” young adult relatives. In both cases Dad was distant and aloof...but Mom was all in. Both now divorced, single moms. They are so protective of their babies! They fall for a lot of Satan’s nonsense around the issue because their FEELINGS come before the raw truth of the Lord.
I forget this when talking to them. One, a nurse, I had to drag kicking across the line of admitting that a man cannot have children. The transgender “man” with a womb that can carry a child to term is in fact a WOMAN. “But they identify as a man. We have to respect that.”
I had to get graphic and ask if a man can birth a child through either opening he had at his disposal. “No” (finally) and then followed by “...BUT...”
My point was we have to honor God’s design FIRST, before honoring our deluded childrens’ (and fellow citizens’) feelings about His design. They don’t accept it, and open themselves to demonic energizing. We are to warn.
Now this was a fellow believer, quite fervent in their faith. Still, their motherly urges offered a foothold for Satan to work. He knows what he is doing, he’s been at it a long time. God has given us His Word and we are to AGREE with it against ourselves, our families, our children and our society.

That was complete bull in my day and it’s complete bull today. If you don’t stand up for the truth and what’s right you’re gutless or stupid.
I didn’t know one person back in HS who didn’t laugh at the idea of peer pressure. Not one. We were constantly hearing about it ( mostly from teachers and counselors natch) but the idea that teachers and counselors could somehow apply an even greater pressure is absolutely confounding. Young people cannot have changed that much. Hell one of the SHORTCOMINGS of youth has traditionally been that they regard the stuff that comes out of the mouths of the “old” as wrong or out of date.
Maybe your 14 yr old is keeping her mouth shut (admittedly the people she’s faced off with are a kind of crazy I’ve never seen before in America) but she must see these crazies as damning themselves. Let’s see where she is in a few years…
Great comment and replies! All of the comments make excellent points. HERE’S THE PROBLEM and it is not only the culture that impacts your granddaughter, although very important, but it is also a total breakdown in our society that impacts us all!
There is a pattern in our history of these changes that goes back over 500 years in Anglo society. The US was founded as an Anglo country and most of our history has been dominated by that history. And in that history, there is a definite pattern of changes that can be seen.
The changes are outlined in some detail in a book called The Fourth Turning written in 1997 (25 years ago). It’s complicated. The bottom line is that approximately every 80 or so years we go through significant changes in our society that are profound and life-altering. The most recent of these events are: Depression-WWII, American Civil War, and American Revolution (count the years between each).
We are in another of those periods with a seismic change and we will likely emerge a completely different culture and country — good or bad. It is unknown at the moment.

While everyone expects one-line answers to our dilemma, it is not that simple. It wasn’t that simple in 1928, 1860, or 1775 either. In order to understand where we are requires time and study about where we’ve been. 30-second answers will not do it. This book provides an excellent explanation and understanding. It does not however offer fixes. That’s our job and has to be decided with an accurate knowledge of the past.
I would say we are in for a very bumpy ride and we may or may not come out the other end as we wish.
It’s his granddaughter! He has little say in where she goes to school.
