Who put the live ammo in the gun? THAT person killed her. Has anyone determined this yet?
No one has been publicly named.
I got this sinking feeling that the little millennial armorer is gonna take the fall for the whole thing and baldwin is gonna walk away from it without a scratch.
Possession is 9/10 of the law. Many laws begin with Possession of... including some weapons laws. These actors can put the time and effort into learning how to ride a horse for a western but can’t be bothered learning basic gun safety?
Does it matter who put the gas in the car that the drunk driver ran over the pedestrian with? No, the driver bears the responsibility.
This is the legal standard in Baldwin’s industry, and its the legal standard in almost every state in the union.
Nonsense - THE PERSON who pulled the trigger bears responsibility.
If his high self-righteousness had taken the 30-seconds necessary to verify that the single action was indeed “cold” the lady would not have been shot and he wouldn’t have conclusively demonstrated his gross ineptitude.
Wrong.
“Who put the live ammo in the gun? THAT person killed her. Has anyone determined this yet?”

Baldwin was supposed to verify the dummy loads were in the gun and he didn’t follow safety protocol.
They really should change protocol to be that the person firing the gun must be the person to load the gun in the first place.
No
Baldwin aimed a gun he did not check at a person. Pulled the hammer back and let it go
That’s wrong.
What people fail to realize is that a movie set does not have its own legal jurisdiction.
If you shot someone in your home or anywhere else, do you think you’d be able to blame someone else? Do you think you could argue that it was the responsibility of someone else to tell you it was loaded?
Do you think that you could assign a family member or your gardener the title “armorer” and then tell the police your “armorer” handed you the gun, so it’s their fault?
Of course not, and if you can’t blame your “armorer” - why should an actor be able to blame his “armorer”.
A movie set does not have its own set of laws, nor its own legal jurisdiction.
They guy with the gun in his hand and firing it is ultimately responsible for checking the ammo in the gun before firing it. Black letter law.
Irrelevant. That person is not responsible for Baldwin’s lack of firearms discipline.
“Who put the live ammo in the gun? THAT person killed her.”
You couldn’t be MORE WRONG!
Alec Baldwin KILLED HER! He FIRED THE GUN. End of story.
Respectfully sir, but bullshlt. He had the gun in his hand. NEGLECTED to see if it was loaded. HE pointed the gun
right at her. PULLED the TRIGGER with his finger. SHOT, and KILLED her. He’s nothing but an actor, and a piss poor one. Feck him. loo

I get your point and agree the loader is complicit, but must respectfully disagree he killed her...
The person of Alec Baldwin, who failed to determine the condition of the firearm, held it in his hand, pointed it at another person and pressed the trigger is the one responsible...
Observing the rules for safe gun handling along with Mr. Baldwin NOT being an arrogant prick would have prevented her needless death...
